Update: I do plan on finishing Diminishing Walls. Thank you to those that have been patient and to any new readers that are eager for an update. I'm working on trying to find my muse again. My ongoing health issues have caused a major bout of writers block, but I'm working on it.

Well I'm a 30-something fanfiction addict. Yes it's painful to admit, but that's the first part to recovery, right?

I'm actually a former Forks resident and believe me when I say it's not all it's cracked up to be, but I met some amazing Twilight fans while living there. The daycare and motel I use in Diminishing Walls are actually places in Forks and I worked at both.

I'm always looking for a new story to read so please share if you come across one you love. I won't generally read a story unless it's complete because I'm just too damn impatient to wait. However, if you have an in progress story you really think I should read, pass it along and I'll put in on alert.

I'm a reluctant reviewer, that's terrible I know and I'm working on it, but sometimes I just can't think of anything to say. I will never criticize someone for spelling or grammar because we all make mistakes, there are however some common errors that drive me crazy.

Such as:
Wonder and Wander, there is a difference.
Choked and Chocked, again two different things the second not even close to the first.
Cloths and Clothes, the second is made from the first but the words are not interchangeable.
Past and Passed, sound the same but two different meanings.
Quit, Quiet, Quite - one little letter can make all the difference.
Tide and Tied, one has to do with the ocean and the other you do to a shoelace.
Than and Then, they are not the same.
Since and Sense, nope not even close.

Of course there's always:
There - Their - They're, issues; and Your - You're, problems. If your sentence requires one of these words please be aware of your subject. Their and Your are possessive references. There is in reference to a place or location of something, and They're and You're are contractions meaning They are or You are; if they fit into your sentence out of the contraction then by all means use them.

I often wonder what program some people use to write their stories on. I know there are some that do not have the spell check function, so for those I understand, to a point. However, if your program does have a spell check/grammar check function there are no excuses. Besides, I do believe there is a spell check in the editor once you upload your chapter into fanfiction. Proofreading your own work is also a benefit, with or without a beta. It's amazing what you'll catch if you just go back a re-read what you've written.

Oh, and um, it would be nice if some people would designate all A/N's to the beginning and/or end of their stories. It's rather obtrusive to encounter one plopped right in the middle.
