Author has written 59 stories for Dragon Age, Harry Potter, Chronicles of the Raven, A song of Ice and Fire, Witcher, Warcraft, StarTrek: The Original Series, Misc. Books, Fallout, Deus Ex, Thor, Avengers, Crimson Peak, Watch Dogs, and Mass Effect. Right. Here it comes: a few words about the stories, sorted by fandom. Sometimes with a few words in addition. The older stories don't have paragraph separators (where I need an extra line in between) because it took me a long time to realise that eats them. A Song of Ice and Fire Almost Dutiful (Rated T; Complete) One of Them (Rated K; Complete) Chronicles/Legends of the Raven The Beginning (Rated T for language; Complete): One example without paragraph separators. I intend to remedy that, but I don't know when. Crossing the Line (Rated T for language and violence; Complete; Slash) M/M romance, and more than a little weird. Devoted (Rated M; Complete; Slash): M/M PWP really. Tug-o-War: Crossover, see below. Dragon Age By Any Other Name (RATED M for many many reasons; read with caution and some chapters on an empty stomach; Complete) Cole - A child? Oh no (Rated K; Complete) The expression of an opinion. I might add a few lines of actual fiction or just take the risk it's taken down. I still have the file, after all. Masters of War (Rated M; in progress) Sequel to By Any Other Name and Saving Us. Cole/f!Inquisitor, later another pairing I won't say; both slow building; will also contain slash. The rating is chosen for the same reasons as the previous parts, i.e. language, violence, and perhaps sex. Saving Us (RATED M like the predecessor; occasionally very disturbing; Sequel to By Any Other Name, Complete): These two are essentially one story, Saving Us starts with Awakening and goes way beyond that into a plot entirely my own. What's Done, Is Done (Rated K; Complete) Harry Potter A general word on all these: They are old. As in almost 10 years old. For a non-native speaker that's a huge difference, and although I did read through these again, I notice that I struggled with the language enough at that time to lose something else on the way. You don't see the struggling any more (unless I overlooked something) but all these could have ... more to them, I'd write all this differently now. That starts with the way I write dialoge now (which has changed in the past 12 months) and ends with my grasp of peoples' voices - which, I think, is really a language thing. Now the reason I don't rectify that is ... in truth, I can't. I haven't read the books in a long time, I don't hear the people right now, and I would do more harm than good. So yes, Snape is sometimes wayyy too reasonable, and yes, sometimes everyone thinks stuff through to a degree they normally wouldn't. I know that. :) A Deatheater Who Walked Free (Rated K) Beasts of Prey (Rated K) Fireproof (Rated K for being a bit disgusting) Head Over Feet (Rated M for the second chapter, first is safe; Complete) Roulette (RATED M for M/M sex; Complete; Slash) When Sorry is Not Enough (Rated K) Star Trek Air (Rated K, just to be safe; Complete; Slash): Says all it needs in the A/N in the first chapter, far as I know now. K/S preslash, for those who don't know (if that is possible): contains M/M romance, if only hints at this point. All You Need and More (RATED M - Read with caution! Complete; Slash): The one chapter of Earth I know I'll want but cannot add because I want the rating low. This is rated M. If you don't like M/M sex, don't go there. At the End of the Day (RATED M; Complete; Slash): Kind of epilogue to Fire, another missing scene, or PWP. Beneath the Waves (Rated K; Complete; Slash): Spones. Contractions (Rated K; Complete; Slash): Not part of the series because Spones. One-shot. M/M romance. Dreams of Loss (RATED M read with caution! Complete, Slash): I don't even want to talk about this. Spones fic, bittersweet, both prime- and mirror universe. M/M sex, quite explicit and not entirely sane. Earth (Rated K; Complete; Slash): Sequel to Air; bits of M/M romance Fire (Rated K; Complete; Slash): Sequel to Water and last in the series; bits of M/M romance I am Your Destiny, I'm Your Cure (Rated K plus; Complete; Slash): Spones fic Imbecile Anthem (Rated M for M/M non-con sex and language): MU-fic. Saviour (Rated M; Complete; Slash): PWP, Spones. Since I am Myself My Own Fever (RATED M read with caution! Complete; Slash): Spones fic and more vile than anything I'd normally write. The Rose on the Heath (Rated T; Slash) The Slip that Brought Me to My Knees (RATED M; Complete; Slash): Spones fic. Tomorrow's Menu Reads Forever (RATED M for M/M sex; Complete; Slash): Chapter 2b of Water, if you will, but can be simple PWP too. Water (Rated K; In Progress; Slash): Sequel to Earth; bits of M/M romance The Witcher Tug-o-War: Crossover, see below. Warcraft The External Conscience of Modgud Gaunt (Rated K; Complete): WoW-Fic, to be precise. Crossover: Raven/Witcher Tug-o-War: (Rated T as of yet, might become M for disgusting; Work in progress, but momentarily stalled; Slash, but nothing explicit, just a hint of M/M romance) Planned Something on L.A.Heat. The book by P.A. Brown, not the TV-series. This might come, if I manage to get an interview with a medical doctor. Otherwise I will lack the required background knowledge and stay clear of it. (Yes, I am like that. Deal with it.) Maybe some longer Harry Potter story, but that needs so much editing I don't know if I'll be bothered. Something X-Files. Same as above, only worse. This one I would have to rewrite completely, and I don't know if I will. Certainly not within the next few months. I may perhaps write a larger Song of Ice and Fire thing, but that's not in the near future. I also threaten to write a Doctor Who fic, which will probably be a crossover with James Barclay's Ascendants of Estorea, just because I can. But that, too, has a huge question mark. I might - and I highly doubt I ever will - write something Tomb Raider related. But since that is really very much moot by now, and since I really don't think it serves any purpose other than being an over-emotional, angst-ridden romance cum walkthrough ... I don't believe this will happen. I don't usually do romance for the hell of it, and the texts up there that look like it are mostly background/reference for something major (Song of Ice and Fire/Raven) or ancient (Harry Potter). What is it with this Servatia person anyway? I am Austrian with Ukrainian background and very nearly became a Latin and English teacher. I made a sharp turn when I noticed I don't want to teach, fled from University to an insurance, and now that's where I am. I am not a salesperson, I deal with system- and ID10t errors. The latter are the more frequent. No, I do not have any training with IT stuff. None at all. I am an absolute autodidact. My boss knows that and doesn't give a damn. I know html and a tiny bit SQL and I can reasonably handle TeX (not that I really need any of that), and frankly, I have no idea what made me study languages rather than science, for example. Anyway, this site here puts me to my limits. I wrote my first fanfiction when I was twelve. It was scribbled on many pages of lined paper in blue ink with a pen. It was quite long and written for my cousin, who's nine months younger than I am, was in the same class with me for 8 years, and is my best friend. Since then, I've always been continuing stories I've read. My approach to writing is usually highly chaotic. If I have a given outline (as with Dragon Age until like halfway into Saving Us) it's easy, but if not, I tend to write the first few chapters, then some in the middle or the last one, then fill in the rest. That's hardly possible here. Also, I very often write more than one thing at a time. I am nowhere near as versatile in that regard as I used to be. If I switch to something else, I do it for a longer time. So if it says here that something is stalled, and something else in progress, there is a rather real chance that I'll complete that other thing first. Or not, if my mood changes. But if it's here, it'll be finished at one point. So what I do when I write for this site is create an extra file with notes: What may I not forget? What is to come at a much later point? (That, incidentally, is where I would normally sit down and write that later chapter.) Sometimes (for Air I did that) I even make a list with what is to happen in what chapter. Of course, I then proceed to ditch some of those ideas completely. (In Air I changed my mind about the life or death of one character four times. And about the nature of the relationship between two others at least as often. Not the K/S bit, though. That was a given. I tell you, that's canon. So sue me.) I also have accidents. People get injured or killed despite myself. As a rule, I never go back and scratch something like that, even if I only write for myself. But here it's much harder to go back and change things that aren't corrections. I cannot decide something I wrote is highly inconvenient, so I return to three chapters previously and alter that. In short, writing for is an exercise in discipline for me. It's fun, very much so, and sometimes difficult and not the way I'd go about things. So, have patience with me. |
