I AM NOW ON AO3!

I am still under the same name- element78- and currently am just uploading old stories from this site. New stories and updates to old stories will still be posted here, and I will not be removing any stories. However- HOWEVER- I will be phasing out this account. I've been lurking across the fanfic sites for months now, comparison shopping if you will, and AO3 strikes me as both the best quality in general content and author skill and best managed from an admin point of view.

Don't get me wrong, I still love this site, even though I should probably know better. It's like that crush in fifth grade that lasts far too long and gets to be just awkward, until you're still gibbering like an idiot to his face at high school graduation even though you don't even like the stupid jerk anymore. Which was a long and fairly belabored analogy. The point is, I still love this site, I just don't like it, and I'm certainly not all that impressed with it anymore. I have issues with the formatting of the stories and the efficiency with which the site as a whole is handled, and I haven't been impressed with quality of the content for years- the tweenage fangirls found this site, I guess, and trashed it like they do everything they touch. Finding a couple quality stories worth reading requires dredging through mountains of dreck and drivel and blatant Mary Sues and wish fulfillment. If I read one more summary with the words 'the Winchesters had a sister' in it, I will maul someone.

(Also, no, you do not get points for being a bit more creative in the family connection. I don't want to hear about cousins- save the Campbells, canon relation to the boys, and even then, ugh- or daughters or nieces. All of the above applies to Bobby, too. Watch the show again, people. These men do not have a plethora of family members coming out of the woodwork. They three are all they have. I would even argue that circle never truly extended to include Castiel, who came the closest to buying his way into that family with blood and sacrifice, even before he broke the world and Sam's head.)

So, in short, I will be shifting the majority of my focus on my AO3 account. I don't know if I will abandon this account entirely. To be honest, knowing me, I might well keep them running simultaneously. Some old favorites, such as I-70, will be getting a polish before going up while others- such as there'll be peace when you are done, which is one of my favorites, but is so rough in places- will be getting partial overhauls. So check in on AO3 even if you're not wild about the site, because the stories there will be reworked, updated versions.
