Because it is Bitter - isa-centric post-canon multichapter fic featuring all my headcanons bricked and mortared together into something resembling a coherent canon-divergence AU (because obviously KH3 can't give me everything I want). this fic deals a lot with mental health issues, self-harm, memory problems, depression and learning self-acceptance, also later there are ethical debates about murder, vengeance, social obligations, the trolley problem, and a lot of other zero escape nonsense.

if you are wondering what happened to all the fics i used to have listed here as upcoming, they have either died due to not being good or been scrapped for parts (a lot of Because it is Bitter features elements that were originally parts of several other story ideas).

also don't take it shines with borrowed light seriously anymore. i wrote that right after playing dream drop distance when i had been out of the fandom for five years and it doesn't represent my best takes on the canon any longer.

note on "dulce est desipere in loco": i have absolutely no idea how it happened but the chat excerpt at the bottom somehow got plunked in there despite me thinking i had deleted it from the document after my paste/clipboard was being weird? but i have made the executive decision to leave it in. i think it communicates the theme of the story very well. you don't have to write that paper anymore.
