UPDATE - NOVEMBER 2015: *PERMANENT HIATUS*

Hi everyone! Unfortunately I am mostly out of the fanfiction game these days. Please consider my account to be inactive and my pieces to be on permanent hiatus. I have no plans to write any new fics as of now, but if I do they will likely be posted to AO3 rather than here and under my same pen name, LifelongObsessor.

This account will stay up so all my previous work can be read, however, so no worries that it will vanish!

Thank you for all the support you have given me over the years, and my apologies for letting down anyone who enjoyed my work. You are all wonderful.

I'm LifelongObsessor and this is my lovely profile page!

I have been reading fanfiction for many years now, but only starting writing it in the summer of 2011. I'm still struggling to get a grip on it, so your patience and support as I work to find my sea-legs is much appreciated.

I love many, many things, but only read or write fanfiction for a few. These fandoms include Doctor Who, Veronica Mars, The X-Files, Firefly, and anything on Broadway! I can be persuaded to read other fandoms as well (Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, etc.) but these are my top faves.

My all-time OTP is Destiel (DeanxCas) from Supernatural, but I probably won't post any fic about them here because I have EXTREME difficulty writing them. If you know of any good fics about them, though, send them my way! I love to read about them ... My writing is just flawed in this department.

I generally write TV fanfic more than anything else. I find that TV has better characters and character development, more interesting plot lines and is more fun to write for.

I'll let you know upfront that I don't write heavy smut or gratuitous gore or violence. I also try to avoid using multiple OC's or writing stories that go way AU. My favorite fics are the ones that could expand upon something after a series has ended or that could fit right into the existing show (e.g. remain canon.)

CURRENT PROJECTS:

You Never Forget How To Be Noble - *ON PERMANENT HIATUS* A multi-chaptered Doctor Who fic falling between "A Christmas Carol" and "The Impossible Astronaut". Donna Noble was never supposed to remember the Doctor or any of the crazy things they did together ... Unfortunately for the Doctor, she did. And she is not too impressed with him. At all. But there are worse things in store for the Doctor, things what will require just as much attention as the angry ginger he left behind ...
Basically, I want Donna back. This is my interpretation of Donna meeting Eleven, Amy and Rory and how they all work together to save the world and stuff.

Patient - *ON PERMANENT HIATUS* We all have that nagging idea in the back of our minds as to what should have happened if Veronica Mars had been renewed for a fourth season, don't we? This is mine - a multi-chaptered Veronica Mars fic taking place sometime after season three. Veronica has just suffered a terrible car accident, placing her in the hospital with no recollection of who hit her or even the events leading up to her accident. Now her friends are acting strange, secrets are being kept and the mystery of who tried to kill her still needs to be solved ... before they try to finish the job. This fic is inspired by the teen novel Rosebush by the very talented author Michele Jaffe.

FINISHED PROJECTS:

Saving Yourself - A multi-chaptered Doctor Who fic immediately following "A Good Man Goes To War". (This was written during the hiatus before "Let's Kill Hitler", so now it is technicaly AU.) The Doctor has gone to save baby Melody, leaving a prime opportunity for River, Amy and Rory to try and prevent the Doctor's death-by-astronaut. However, they won't be able to do it alone. In order to save his life, they'll need to seek help from the man who knows the Doctor better than anybody ... Himself. This story is mostly plot driven, with some romance thrown in there for good measure. The central relationship is Rose/10.5.

Second Best - A single-chaptered Doctor Who story taking place near the end of "Journey's End". Today Martha Jones has met Rose Tyler, the woman who made her feel insignificant and second best during all her time with the Doctor. Now that she knows Rose, however, Martha is having a hard time hating her. This fic is fairly short and cutsey, but I'm quite proud of it.

Fairy Tales - A single-chaptered Veronica Mars story about various moments in Logan and Veronica's lives when they were lead to believe fairy tales were absolute nonsense. Finally Piz realizes this may not be true. This story gives us a look into the lives of Logan and Veronica both pre, during and post series. Sort of a serious fic, but with fluffy undertones, especially near the end.

Tomato - A single-chaptered X-Files fic taking place sometime late in season five. Scully returns from a short vacation at her cousin's house, covered with the biggest sunburn possible. Strangely enough, this is what causes Mulder to realize some things about Scully he never noticed before ... MAJOR fluff. For real. Mulder and Scully are the featured couple, obviously ;)

Taking a Bullet -A single-chaptered Firefly taking place before "Jaynestown". Simon, on Mal's instructions, takes a trek down to Inara's shuttle, only to overhear her and Kaylee talking about him. His decision to stick around and listen may alter his entire future with our favorite mechanic, and also may get him in a bit of trouble. Fluffy, fluffy, fluffy, but I think it's cute, so HA.

He's Not - A multi-chaptered X-Files fic taking place over the course of the entire series. (Originally posted as a single-chaptered fic, but reformatted for easier reading.) Scully is always defining Mulder in terms of what he isn't - he's not her boyfriend, he's not crazy, he's not in love with her, etc. The problem with this is that Scully is actually rarely correct. This story features many moments that could have occurred off-screen during the series. I'm not entirely sure where this fic came from; it MAY have been inspired by Scully's offhanded line about Mulder to Father Joe in IWTB ("He's not my husband") but I am honestly unsure. I just sat down and this kind of happened. Pretty fluffy, some parts a bit more angsty, but over all a romance-based story.

The Hat - A multi-chaptered Pokemon "Pokeshipping" fic. I know, I know - Ash and Misty are, like, ten. It's kind of disturbing to write fic about them when they're just so little. Despite this, I've had a story stuck in my head for AGES and I started writing it. Ash's hat has played an important role in the development of Ash and Misty's relationship from the very beginning. This story lets us to see just how important one stupid piece of head wear became to Misty and how it affected her relationship with a certain wannabe Pokemon Master.

UPCOMING:

I no longer post on this account and very rarely write fanfiction at all anymore. Should I ever post anything new you can find it on AO3 under my same username, LifelongObsessor, though I currently have no plans for future fics.
