Author has written 3 stories for Newsies. Welcome to my escape, I am not who you think I am. I am a messenger and yet so much more. I live and breathe as any mortal would, when I must. However my people and I dwell on the sun, the rain and above all on our own magic. Ours is a magic the long predates that which you petty mortals "create". Magic is harnessed not created; it's formed in the dew on the rose or the laugh of a child, the first rays of the sun after a storm or the mist of waves. I assure you our people will regain control of those that have driven us from our land and when that does happen there are a few mortals that shall be given a higher place than others, I name them now for you to grow accustomed to having them above you. Emotions, Dodger, NataS, Lauren, Liz, Amanda, and Nathalie these are the true mortals that I have come to befriend. I have been in your mortal world for 19 years and it shall be the anniversary of my arrival on August 11th. I, however, am ageless we have been around before recorded time. When it comes time I shall rule from my throne in Tir Na Nog with the aid of my council balance which you mortals so sadly lack in your lives will be restored. When the world was young and magic and mystery still abounded; when the lands themselves were not fully shaped; when the creatures of imagination walked the fields and monster ruled the depth of the new ocean, then the gods walked this world and communed with the sons and daughters of man. And some came across the seas in the great glittering ships that were of metal and precious stones. These were the Tuatha De Danann, the people of the Goddess, and Gods themselves in their own right, and their power and majesty held sway over the small emerald isle for generations. The Tuatha Defeated many enemies and scoured the land of evil, but in the end we fell to the slayer of all gods: time. And slowly the power of the Tuatha was eroded away. New gods rose and came to prominence on the island. The people gradually forgot the gods of their forebears and the People of the Goddess became as other lost gods; More than mortal, but less than divine And so we retreated to the secret places: the hidden valleys, the Lands beneath the Waves, the Magical Isles and the Worlds Below. Our numbers dwindled, but we survived in the myth and legend as the Shining Ones, the Sidhe, the gentry, and time and ignorance confused us with our servants, the Dark Folk, and we became collectively known as the faerie host. But we lived on. And some remained in the Worlds Below, which could only be entered through Faerie Forts The Shining Ones, the Sidhe, the Tuatha De Danann, and that is what we are. The last of the Tuatha De Danann, the people of the goddess. We continue to exist because the people continue to believe in us. We are also tied to this land, and this is the last outpostof Faerie in this world. It will be a sadder, poorer place when we are gone- and that day is drawing ever closer. I am one of the last born of the race but the race is dying children of man. The only way to stop it is to have Faith My Writting and status Myrna: Hey where's natas?
