Author has written 5 stories for Peter Pan, Harry Potter, Book Thief, and Alice in Wonderland. And now: a list of stuff you didnt need to know but I'm telling you anyway. This is the part where I brag, right? Hey all, my name is Emby, I'm 16, a junior in high school, and I am a self-proclaimed nerd. I love all books and a lot of movies. I'm not super into fandoms, but I'm definitely a fan of several things. I love Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Grimm, Elementary, Once Upon A Time, Harry Potter, stuff like that. I love fantasy places and ideals. However, I only write stuff that I know can be changed to adapt. See why I'm only a self-proclaimed nerd? As you may have guessed, I am a girl. Congratulations to you. If you scroll to the bottom, you will see that I have five works of writing posted: A Harry Potter Dramione oneshot Just once that I wrote in eighth grade (it's alright), a Book Thief oneshot The End that I wrote a little bit after that (a little better), an Alice In Wonderland oneshot, My Rose, Alice that I consider to be one of the best things I've ever written (no joke), a new Alice In Wonderlandand oneshot, My Dream, Your Reality that's kind of odd but I like, and a Peter Pan story called The Lost Girl. That last one is a little iffy. I started it when I first got this account two years ago, and I have changed so much in that time. I dropped the story the summer of 2012. Near the end of the summer of 2013, I decided to pick it up again. That story is undergoing a complete and total makeover. Read it now if you want, but stay tuned for the turnaround. It can only go up from here. Note: Most of my stories are really not very good. I'm planning on rewriting the majority of them in 2014 (it's one of my resolutions.). Stay tuned. Also, I am an inactive beta, mainly due to slacking and laziness. I honestly haven't been on in a year, other than to read stories and give comments. If you want me to beta your story after reading mine and talking to me and realizing what a cool cat I am, I'll consider it, but my work ethic isn't what you'd call strong. Sorry. I love reading, writing, and singing. I'm pretty decent at dancing too, if I do say so myself: 11 years of tap and jazz, 8 years of hiphop, 1 year of lyrical, 1 year of contemporary, assorted ballet, and scattered musical theater choreography. I used to perform with the School of Rock (no, not the movie.). I am a songwriter (I play the piano, the guitar, and I'm currently learning the bass). Music takes up a large portion of my time. I'm also super involved in my school's theater department- treasurer and secretary of my school's Drama club. My ideal job is to be a storyteller. I plan on double-majoring in acting and journalism or literature, and minoring in speech and/or debate, or something like that. I could read audio books, do some voice-over or character work, maybe pick up a few acting jobs or teach some workshops here and there, possibly work for a newspaper or two, the possibilities are endless. I just know acting is my strongest suit at this point in my life, with my voice as my second, but not singing so much as speaking, relating, telling. Outside of fanfiction, I have written a few short stories, several poems, three songs, and I have numerous unfinished novels. The farthest I've ever gotten on a novel is about 15,000 words. I've done NaNoWriMo four times, but I've never met my goal. I LOVE movies. I will watch any movie from rom-com to cartoon to action to tragedy to sci-fi to superhero to murder to etc. etc. etc. Favorite movies (not in order): The Princess Bride, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, Dead Poets Society, Forrest Gump, The Shawshank Redemption, Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Mr. Nobody. Most of them are classy 80's movies or include Morgan Freeman. The only thing I will not watch is horror. It honestly disgusts me. Even commercials for movies like The Exorcist and The Awakening make me cover my eyes in a theater. I got nightmares from Goosebumps: Welcome to Dead House when I was 10. Zombies? Fine. Demons? Okay, if in action. Vampires? Whatever. But if it's a ghost movie, count me OUT. But if it's a cult classic, count me in. I also like sports. I play co-ed soccer, which makes working hard worth it, if you know what I mean ;) Baseball is cool, football is okay, golf is kinda boring, but I like watching basketball and playing soccer. I'm currently taking Spanish III, so... Yo sé español un poco, pero no sé mucho español. Yo prefiero hablar en inglés. I like dogs and dolphins, but the blanket octopus is my favorite animal. Look it up. I'm straight. In case you were wondering. You probably weren't. I support homosexuality though, and believe that as long as people are honest about who they are, then they can be whatever they want to be. I find politics really interesting. As a freshman, I took an AP World History course, and I loved it. It may have had something to do with the fact that my teacher was super lazy and never made us do anything, but whatever. I went to Model UN two years ago and it was really fun! It was really cool to be able to hang out with a bunch of kids who are committed to good learning and education and partying and stuff like that. Also, I like to learn about religion and politics. Also, art. Even though I can't draw. Also, nature. Actually, though. All of that is pretty good stuff. However, I'm here purely to write and read and meet fellow writers. So hey: if you're one, hit me up, read my reformed stories, send me yours, the whole shabang. Let's be friends, alright? Oops. This was supposed to be brief. Oh well. See y'all on the flip side. It only goes up from here. Follow me on tumblr @ Follow my music blog @ |
