I've been a writing enthusiast for a while, but I've only found the courage to write fanfictions in these recent years. My pace tends to be slow due to a number of factors working against me, but I intend to finish whatever I start on this 'site. The fanfiction below this paragraph is my current writing focus in regards to fanfictions; I still write original media, and while I may post another fanfiction every now and then, the one below is what I intend to finish first. Current fanfiction focus: The Legend of Zelda: Dreamweaver's Shield Some people say that I'm good at writing dialogue for my characters. I think it's because I talk to myself a lot. My first received fan art: http:///art/sky-lines-fan-art-286195511 by plainpain (FFN ID; his DA is ink099). Thanks again. Favorite quotes: "Frank. You know what a hero is? Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, he's somebody who's tired enough and cold enough and hungry enough not to give a damn. I don't give a damn." --Alan Alda as Captain Benjamin Franklin Pierce, M*A*S*H "Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice. Pull down your pants and slide on the ice." --Allan Arbus as Major Sidney Freedman, also M*A*S*H "Screw normal. You know why? Because if you're normal, the crowd will accept you, but if you're deranged, the crowd will make you their leader." --Christopher Titus, from his show Norman Rockwell is Bleeding "Don't mess with a nation that needs medication!" --Christopher Titus, from his show The Fifth Annual End of the World Tour "これが・・・物を「殺ス」とゆーことだ。(This is what it means to 'kill' a thing.)" --Tohno Shiki, Tsukihime "If we're going to be damned, let's be damned for what we really are." --Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: The Next Generation "If you're going to wait for the universe to start making sense, you'll have a long wait ahead of you." --Bruce Boxleitner as Captain John Sheridan, Babylon 5 "You see, but you do not observe. The distinction is clear." --Sherlock Holmes, "A Scandal in Bohemia" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle "'Listen. I don't think this is a real plane crash cuz I happen to notice that I'm not wearing any pants.' And whenever I'm not wearing any pants, it's probably a dream." --Adam Savage, Mythbusters Favorite opening line: The building was on fire, and it wasn't my fault. --The Dresden Files: Blood Rites Since everyone else insists on it, I'll throw in a disclaimer for my stories. Here, because I don't like making Author's Notes. All of my fanfictions are just that: fiction. Any resemblance to actual people (living, undead, or dead), locations, or events are not only a coincidence, but so unlikely it's stupid. I do not condone abhorrent (and, likely, illegal) behavior of any sort which you may find in my fictions. If you believe otherwise, you're an idiot. For those of you interested in the Sorian and/or the Gelto language featured in The Legend of Zelda: Sky Lines, I have now added my grammar notes and two dictionaries to my new forum right here on FFN. I have also posted a running translation of the lines used in the story, including the ever confusing Goron and the even more confusing Selloan. Just follow this link, feel free to explore it as much as you can, and throw out anything you'd like me to translate for you. My thanks goes out to Mugen Kagemaru, a Troper on , for posting Sky Lines in the Fanfic Recommendations page for The Legend of Zelda. It means a whole lot to me that Sky Lines made it that far. Recently, an FFN user by the name "Brishton" has begun work on an orchestrated version of Sky Lines and has already posted pieces of it to YouTube. If you're interested in a fan's musical interpretation of the story, the Overture can be found here. Two pieces have been released so far, and it should be interesting to see what kind of music comes out of this venture. And I'd like to give Briston (a.k.a. "BroadwayBrittany" on YouTube) my best wishes. Good luck! Another FFN user, "The legend of Nintendo", has also posted a piece of music to Youtube inspired by Sky Lines. According to its composer, it was inspired by the dream sequences between Link and Zelda. It is a lovely piece, and I encourage others to give it a listen. |
