Okay, let's talk about fanfiction a little bit.

For me, this place is an outlet to test my own ability, however meek that might be. I write here because I know that no matter how good or bad I do, it's never really going to matter. That isn't to say that I don't try, but only that perhaps I work better when I don't have to take my work so seriously.

My writing habits are sporradic. Sometimes, I don't update stories at all... but no story is ever abandoned so much as placed on an extended hiatus.

I particularly appreciate satire, especially when it's mixed effectively with other genres. I like a romantic comedy a little better than a romance, and I like to laugh in between explosions in my action stories, and I especially LOVE a story that can effectively mix romance, action, and comedy. My main focus on this site right now is Sonic in Love, a story which I hope to use to do just that: make an effective mix of different common genres, as well as poke a little fun at the redundancy in a great majority of the fandom's authorship, and perhaps even to expose the recent decline in quality of certain consumer electronics... but that all is neither here nor there.

Yes, it was a run-on sentence, and what in the name of tap-dancing zombie Hitler are you going to do about it?

I browse the Sonic fandom from time-to-time. I'm largely unimpressed by it, but oh well. Some of it rocks.
