I'm just your average single working mom. I have a beautiful 14-year old daughter. I am an engineer working primarily on wastewater and sewage treatment plant issues. Yes, it is as glamorous as it sounds. Before that I worked for 13 years at Nasa at the Kennedy Space Center. I recently discovered The Walking Dead on Netflix - I missed all the hoopla the first time around. The good thing was I was able to race through them and watch them all at once. It was Season 2 where I noticed the character of Daryl Dixon and how lovely and nuanced Norman Reedus has played him. Especially with the interaction with Carol. I don't know, maybe it gives all us middle-aged women a feeling of hope to see Daryl fall for Carol and vice versa, "Like it could happen". Rather than pair him up with the obvious hotties on the show (Laurie Holden...). So I ended up renting all the other films including Boondock Saints. The Youtube videos of their Q&A sessions were so cute - and them I discovered how charming and humble Sean Patrick Flanery can be. So then I was sunk.

That's how I discovered this fan fiction site. I read them all so fast and ideas began forming in my own head. I never would have considered writing fiction for fun - I always considered myself a competent technical writer for work, but as far as being creative...Lord help me. Anyway I took a stab at it and found it to be so much fun. I'm still nowhere near as good as many of the other writers, but I've enjoyed it and learned quite a bit.
