Writing fanfiction, while something I would never admit to in my oh-so-serious real life, is an important part of my creative development. Like most of us who have been writing for some time, I often find looking back on my old works here somewhat embarassing. I'd remove half of my writing in a heartbeat, except that having been on the other side and having seen authors do that, I always mourn the loss of the work. Our development as writers ought to inform and be informed by our development as people, and looking back on my old work, though embarassing, gives me insight into who I was when I wrote these things and how I have change since.

All of this to say that a) I don't see myself writing Harry Potter in future (although one never knows when that will change) and b) I am leaving my old works, which I consider very flawed and embarassing, up on this site. At the same time, I am preparing to start posting some of my work in a new field - the Buffy/Angel universe. I do hope some who enjoyed my Potter work might give the new material a look, despite the fact that Buffyverse fandom is a quieter field these days. What can I say? We write what we love.
