Author has written 2 stories for Command & Conquer, and Mass Effect. Well finally the interface has beaten me into shape. Interesting Times is something that grew inside my head since March 2012 when Mass Effect 3 ruined the whole Mass Effect experience for me. Full of expectation I read a little fanfiction in the weeks of waiting. Among others Peptucks great Renegade. Which made me realize that there was another promising franchise ruined by EA. At least they cured me of my gaming addiction. And they made me think about what pissed me off most. I mean hey the ending is :-( but was that all. After pulling out my portable plot hole detector and going back through the story looking for some stable foundation I arrived at Mass Effect 1. Interesting. A codex. Many interesting explanations. Why does nobody care... Well thanks to Peptuck for the idea, now lets see if i can make this work. Be warned. I'm totally into technical details. I will keep my liberties, I am no Clarke, but expect at least a Haldeman level of adherence to technical detail. I will not refrain from going back through chapters and correcting/redconning my countless little mistakes. Hopefully I will end up with something consistent. Well that being said. Let the great journey begin. "Great. Now we have two of them. One lives for it. One excels in it." credited to an unnamed asari diplomat, when the turian councillor revealed the existence of humanity. (may read better in original asari) For those people who want to follow the technical details I recommend "Space Combat in the Age of Mass Effect: Lessons from Shanxi" download here: [\\inops\\sec\ref\2154\SpCoGuide:seb] (requires TOP SECRET clearance) Part one, Awakening, will be a collection of historical documents describing the first contact between turians and humans (Second Contact War). Will focus almost exclusively on SDI point of view characters. Can probably/rightfully be considered "wank". Never forget: The loser always learns more than the winner. After some criticism the story is currently undergoing rewrite and will be split into two parts. The story itself and the Universal Factbook containing mostly codex entries relevant to the story. Part two, Origins (working title), about the origins of all three Shepards (Colonist, Spacer, Earthborn). There can only be one. Part three, Paradise Lost (working title), part four, East of Eden (working title) and part five Judgement Day(working title) will be my personal Mass Effect trilogy. I have mapped out the general outline. Now I have to fill it all with life. Will surely take me a year or three to do it. |
