It was a normal day in Four Corners as Ezra kept them all waiting. Vin went in to fetch the gambler. And that's when things took a wrong turn. Leave it to Vin and Ezra to find trouble without even leaving town.

Answer to story challenge using 'Paramnesia,' a distortion of memory in which fact and fantasy are confused. Tempers flare as Judge Travis sends Chris and Ezra on a long and difficult mission. Trouble ensues not only for them but for Vin and JD, who come to their rescue. Can the seven stick together together through frustration, confusion, injury, illness, and incarceration?

His friends would highly recommend that no one doubt that Chris cared about Ezra. The gambler might still be, to this day, the biggest pain in Chris Larabee's fine ass, but that was Chris' burden to bear. He had his own way to help Ezra, and you could kiss Chris Larabee's fine ass if you didn't like it. It was a complicated relationship.
