When an accident forces Dean Winchester into the ER, he meets doctor intern Castiel Novak. Rated M for language and sexual themes, also because there may be an inappropriate scene in a later chapter.

Dean doesn't trust the angel. He doesn't trust Heaven's "plan" for him, either. It's all a load of crap they tell themselves to justify killing. He has more common sense than that.

Castiel notices the visual bond he has with Dean, the (broken and empty) Righteous Man, and when he has a chance to change their lives and screws it up he has to fix it in the only way he can see fit; taking every suffering from Dean and transferring it to himself. Pretty much just a really emotional fic, my first, so please don't be mean because I suck at summaries.
