Greetings. So I realized that since I have started to post my own works I have followers and because of that I suppose I should give some background on myself. First off you can address me as simply Gemi (pronounced gemee). As I realize that Fairy Tail is one of my manga choices for fan fics this nick name actually ended up being a happy coincidence for me. Gemini is my own zodiac symbol and a friend of mine used to call me that as a sort of nick-name many many years ago. In an online game I played for a LONG time a very dear friend of mine started calling me Gemi and I grew to like the shortened version. When Gemi and Mini made their first appearance in FT I couldn't help but laugh at the coincidence of it all.

Although I'm an avid writer, reader, and watcher of Manga/Anime, there have only been two that I find a deep love for and therefore have my own strange day dreams of the characters. Those being InuYasha and Fairy Tail. While on this site I have not posted any of my InuYasha fics I do have them posted on Eternal Destiny's site under the pen name Gem1216. It's not that I'm against posting on another site so much as that was the first fic site I came across for InuYasha and therefore the only place I ever posted. (If I received enough pm's asking I would consider posting to this site as well)

My reasoning behind my love addiction to InuYasha being the simple fact that the title character is so relatable to me. I myself come from a family that either I dislike or vice-versa. It's hard to explain but I love the characters and can relate to the deeper story in the background. About individuals from all walks of life coming together for the greater good and finding themselves along the way. About a struggle to love one's self before they can learn to truly love another. You know the sappy interwoven things.

Along those lines is what I love about Fairy Tail. First off let me once again say I have had a love obsession with the Zodiac since childhood as well as Dragons. What more could I ask for then those being the driving force behind the main characters magic? It was like this show was made for me. Funny enough I can relate with these characters on a much deeper level to the point I can literally see them as people in my own life. I don't have the self-esteem of Lucy by far however I can share her story to a level. Our family background is so similar it's odd. Not to mention that my husband and Natsu are strangely alike in their idiocy as well as obliviousness at times. It's to the point that when I read chapter 331, I could see my husband doing the exact same thing and saying the EXACT same dumb line of "I have no choice" and instantly recognized that thought. Minus the actual magic of it all and the real story going on I have to say it was an instant love for me just because of the characters and how I can see my own life (once again only to an extent) portrayed in them.

And yes I had said Husband. I'm an "old" lady with a daughter of my own. without saying my age I will say my first anime experience was the movie Akira. And as for TV shows it was Voltron. So if you can figure out that time line then you can guess what age group I'm in. We'll just say I'm a 90's girl ;) So it just goes to show you that no matter what your childhood loves can still be played out as an adult. And no before you start thinking that I'm strange, I'm not some odd creeper lady that had 32 cats or something. I am odd don't get me wrong but, I also only indulge in things like fan fics because I have a ridiculously active imagination and love of reading and sometimes there's just nothing better to do when you put the baby down to bed after watching your favorite episodes of an anime (while you are secretly trying to make your child love it as much as you) than seeing what else goes on in the minds of some.

That all being said I also can offer my services at beta reading. If someone would like me opinion or help a simple pm would suffice and we could go from there. But be forewarned while I'm a "shipper" of certain couples in my two mangas I don't like the complete ooc that can happen when people write. Kikyo is not the crazed bitch some make her out to be, and Lissiana has never been a mean spirited person. Those two being portrayed as such always irritate me. I enjoy what those characters bring to their respective manga, however I suppose most blame could be placed on the anime filler placed in the shows that make the characters seem oddly ooc. Oh well... I'm ranting now and that was not my intent. Lets just put it this way... OOC to the extreme degree is not something I like to read.

On a side note: I do love a good challenge! So if you have a suggestion for a story and like my writing style then by all means please send me your thoughts. Being a stay at home mother has the biggest downside of being bored out of my mind when my daughter is asleep and the house is clean. So taking on a good writing challenge always helps. :)
