Author has written 6 stories for Crimson Field, and Harry Potter. Hi guys! Welcome to my second account, I was previously bloodredfirefly but I decided I needed a fresh start. At age of 18, I am pretty much an ex-fanficer. If you had told me that at ages 13-16, I would have collapsed in horror at the boring and empty life I must be living, without spending a minimum of 3 hours a day on . Alas, teenage me would have been woefully right - A-Levels, let me assure you, are a time sucking drag on existence. So, I am no longer a beta, no longer a regular reader, no longer good at PMing and no longer a challenger. Unfortunately, I'm pretty much no longer a writer either :( I am, however, an occasional holiday reader, and I review (almost) everything. Why? Because the 4ish years I spent addicted to this site made up a lot of who I am now, and the people who wrote long reviews on my stories gave me the encouragement and friendship and laughs I really needed. I am grateful to each and every real, kind, clever person behind the screen username. Thank you so much for telling a 13 year girl with bad spelling and no dialogue that she was amazing, even though she really wasn't, until she became actually kind of good! Grammar rules! Simple fact of life: we do not intuitively learn grammar. Every single author has in some way or form been taught the basic rules, INCLUDING those who later break them. Some kind person once left grammar instructions in a review for me, and I am so, so grateful to them for saving me from myself. So, without further ado: "I love cheese," she said. "I love cheese," she said, "and I want some now." "I love cheese!" She said. Ginny took the cheese out. "Cheese is great." "I love cheese," Ginny said, glaring at Luna. "How dare you transfigure my cheese!" My biggest piece of advise? When in doubt, look it up! There are so many great writing tips and grammar hints on the internet, have a little scroll, your clever little brain will store it all away. |
