Ah! Had you going there for a second didn't I?! Naw, I'm not really that great of a writer, I'm just blowin smoke. I mostly do it for fun, with some hope that in doing it, I'll get better since English was never a strong point for me, and probably never will be no matter how many classes I take. It just never seems to stick! (probably because of the 852 languages that make up the english language in the first place!)

I am quite open to help though since all I really have is myself for editing/finding problems. If you're going to be a Simon Cowl about it... understandable... but if you start slinging english and sentence terms at me without at least some kind of example... you'll be talking to a wall, I won't get it. (sorry)

Chapter 14: Translations

"Hana Mal Gesno-michan! Heka carlo tan o yo Gesno Drakon!" - Listen well Human! (female reference) Witness the power of a Dragoness!

Some of you that have read previous chapters my be confused about the translastion of "Human" here, since the first time you have seen it was "Bekno-michan" (male life). Here is a direct Translation of Saia's words that may make better sense.

Direct English Traslation - Listen well female life! See the power of a female dragon!

Chapter 17 Translations:

"Mayak Shenuk! Mo atuk ki aben!" – MY QUEEN! You will regret that!

“Naktan, heka aben Saia feg cosha.” - Babe, see that Saia isn’t wounded - In this context, Naktan is used to refer to a male that is of a close personal relationship. However, "naktan" is mainly used when referring to a Governor.

"She has no wound Shenuk" - used in this context, ‘Shenuk’ is also what a female of close personal relationship is referred to, something similar to ‘babe’ or ‘honey’

English Translations:

Naktan - Governor - in the context of which Vulcurion is using this, it is a formal term of respect much the way in the english language we say 'sir' or 'ma'am'. However in this case it is more closely related to 'Lord' or 'Lady'.

Nova-Shansotehfen - Shansotehfen itself refers to three things: 'shanso', meaning "sword", 'teh' meaning "follow", and 'fen', meaning "master" or "teacher". all in all it translates to Master Swordsman. The 'Nova' at the beginning states what kind of swordsmanship is being taught.

Aeko Jepe - Black Rubies/Black Ruby

Play 8 - I used a general elvish language translator for 'Cora Templa' that roughly translates as 'Magic Leader'... mind you, that is a VERY rough translation.
