Author has written 20 stories for Sherlock, and Hobbit.

Hello visitors of this profile and the esteemed population of FanFiction.net!

What can I say about myself that might be of any interest to you? Well, I'm a mixture of both idiosyncrasies and commonalities, with just a touch of paradox thrown into the concoction. As my penname suggests I prefer bookshelfs, where I can sneak in and out of storyworlds to my heart's content, as a place of residence. I've fallen in love with books, stories, and ficitional worlds and their inhabitants more times that I have with actual people.

I am a great believer in being thirlled by beauty whenever and wherever possible, as well as being aware of the very subjective nature of the term.

Seeing as this is, afterall, a profile intented for publication of written work, I consider this quote to be an apt reflection of the way I view my relationship with all things put in letters: “I read the way a person might swim, to save his or her life. I wrote that way too.” ― Mary Oliver, Wild Geese

All that's left to say is that I hope you enjoy whatever you might stumble upon in here!

If anyone prefers reading over at AO3, you can find me there, as well, (how omnipresent of me) - same name, same stories :)

Half-Life by Fillyjonk reviews
Post-Reichenbach, John POV. Angst. Sadness. Full of love, but the only reason to keep the kiddies away is the emotional trauma they experienced watching the last 20 minutes of "The Reichenbach Fall." I have no Britpickers, and would be delighted to be told if I've made any silly American errors here. Trying to save the fandom from awkward constructions, and all that.

Tell me how all this, and love too, will ruin us reviews
It's a kiss. Then it's two, then a few more, and then several beyond the count. Then it's clothes-stripping, up-the-stairs-fumbling, a quasi-three-legged-racing, blind-bed-finding. Then it's sex. But it's also more. It is also this.

To Build a Home reviews
"There is a buzz, somewhere deep in my foundations, as the cobwebs are unsettled – I have visitors, and what a curious pair, at that. I stir, softly, and greet them – who knows, this might come to something. [...] At times, there are people searching through me, making a mess. They find things, material possessions, but I never let them find the most important of things."

Things We Grew Back from Ashes and Mud reviews
It's a new world, one that will be harder to destroy. Not because it is indestructible, nor because there won't be challenges – oh, there will be (John wouldn't have it any other way) – but because this time John knows, as does Sherlock, that, if handled with care, they allow each other to thrive. They aren't each other's doom. They are each other's greenhouse effect.

'Sounds of water surround them – dripping of pent-up condensation, gurgling of the irrigation system, wet sounds of bodies shifting in soaked clothes – and it feels as if they are submerged, weightlessly suspended in a medium denser than air. 'When familiarity of what they are, the delicate balance of similarities and differences, their symbiosis, turn into ashes in wake of a toxic conflagration, it happens like all other beginnings/endings/meetings/goodbyes/creation/destruction - completely by accident, or maybe, completely by design.' It's a world of words unspoken, 'what if'-s unvoiced, one that, eventually, ends.

Noise is constant in this universe of theirs, alternating between a low-pitch buzz and roaring clamour. There is always heat – without it there would be no life. Every shift of soul sends a sound through the vacuum.

An Anatomically Accurate Analogy reviews
"The analogy I hear most when people talk about us is that we are like the brain and the heart. However, the reason why I think it is an apt simile is not the same reason most people have in mind." By now, John Watson and Sherlock Holmes have virtually become synonymous with the two organs so indispensible for living. This is a different take on the reason why this is so.
