Author has written 11 stories for Mortal Kombat, Star Wars, Batman, Pokémon, Halo, Elder Scroll series, Avengers, Thor, and Mass Effect. Name: Mr.Deacon Age: 24 Sex: Male Sexuality: I'm either asexual or pansexual. I'm more or less in love with myself lol. Never really cared about relationships. Looks: I have dirty blonde hair that I dyed blue once. My eyes are green and I stand at 5'7 and am of Australian background. I have the accent as well, though that's been fading for the past few years. America does that to you I guess. Fanfiction: I've been reading fanfiction for years now and didn't actually start writing until I was 14, like only two years ago, so compared to most other fanfiction writers on this (magnificent) site, I suppose I'm more inexperienced than most. Though, a lot of readers have commented positively on the supposed 'high quality' of my vocabulary so, thank you :) A lot of stories I've written are usually action, adventure, or sci-fi/fantasy oriented with little focus on romance. Those that are have varied in terms of orientation; as a boy of ambiguous sexuality, I have been a writer of heterosexual romance or slash. In the case of the latter, that's actually quite rare. There are few m/m or f/f couples I either follow or support. Favorite Fandoms Marvel Cinematic Universe - This is my latest fandom. The first MCU movie I watched was The Avengers and it got me hooked onto the franchise almost instantly. The fact that so many films and television series manage to connect so perfectly is both incredible and new. Sure, it can be difficult at times pointing on the moments of continuity between properties, but to me, looking for those clues makes the whole experience fun. Captain America: Civil War is on the horizon. But seriously, it should've been called Avengers: Civil War... Mass Effect - Best RPG ever. Great story, great characters, great locations, great interactive play, great EVERYTHING. Absolutely nothing can go wrong with Mass Effect. Every single game has proven that. The story of Commander Shepard and the crew of the Normandy is something I will always cherish for the rest of my life. In my personal opinion, Shepard will always be a renegade, female, adept, spacer, romanced with Garrus, sole survivor, and caucasian brunette, and no other. Fem!Shep is my heroine, while Ryder is the adorkable protagonist that I have a general fondness for. And unlike Shep, I have no specific preference for a male or female Ryder. Halo - This and Mass Effect are currently tied in my imaginary top greatest sci-fi game series ever. I first played Halo when I was only 6 after seeing my dad play it. It is my favorite first-person shooter franchise and I personally enjoy the story very much in spite of it being rather derivative of other famous sci-fi franchises like Star Wars and Alien. The relationship between John and Cortana is especially a highlight, and it's one of my favorite fictional couples. I'm a little weary with where 343 Industries is taking Cortana's character after Halo 5 though... Star Wars - Honestly, who doesn't like Star Wars. Episode VII renewed my interest in the franchise, though I am rather unhappy with the decision to completely debunk the entire Expanded Universe. The Knights of the Old Republic games I am especially upset are no longer considered canon. Those two are probably my favorite Star Wars games. Mortal Kombat - Mortal Kombat is one of the most addicting games I have ever played. I very much like MK9 and MKX, and have engaged in competitive gameplay with my friends and family on multiple occasions. My favorite MK character is probably Sindel. She was the first character I mastered when I played MK9, and you can imagine my disappointment when I found she wasn't playable in MKX. Unfortunately, Sindel has been frequently misunderstood as of late. Honestly, she should have been playable in MKX. Batman - I enjoy Batman very much. Personally, it's the only DC-related material that I actually still follow. However, my biggest preference in regards to Batman is the character of Tim Drake. As some of you may have figured out, Tim is my favorite Batman and DC character and the one I feel I relate to the most. His personality and backstory are great, as are his relationship with other members of the Batfamily and beyond. Also, I find him fun to write, because, as fanfiction has proven, it's so much easier to rework Tim's story in the form of various AUs. Examples I have come across are the apprentice of Deathstroke, the son of Lex Luthor, Poison Ivy's adopted son, etc. Portal - I was introduced to the Portal series when I found by cousin playing the original. I’ll be honest, the game puzzled me (no pun intended) at first, but when I played it myself later on, it got me into the series and I tried Portal 2. One of the best decisions I ever made. I love everything about Portal, it's just so original and fun. GLaDOS is one of the quirkiest, most sinisterly sarcastic villains I’ve ever seen. Hail Ellen McLain! Alien/Predator - Thank you, 20th Century Fox, for bringing us two of the most frighteningly awesome space aliens ever to grace the big screen. While this fandom is not as huge as the others on this list in terms of importance, I have occasionally had the joy of crossing the galaxy's greatest hunter and the galaxy's deadliest organism with other fandoms, just to experiment with the possibilities of the two species encountering other groups. Pokémon - I’m not ashamed to say that I still enjoy Pokémon. I’ve been playing since the original, and I probably won’t be stopping anytime soon. |
