They need to be developed in certain ways to show why they think like they do, and to show why they act like they do. Some characters need scar=full pasts to be who they are today, and it kinda makes you feel horrible for doing it. You feel bad that you are making their lives suck. You feel bad, then you realize that they don't exist, that they're made up, but they feel real to you, mainly because they don't have perfect lives, and they aren't perfect. Life isn't all rainbows and lollipops. Life is like nails and screws, with the little bits of sunshine in between. It also kinda feels nice to make bad people pay for the bad things they've done, because in real life, horrible people don't always receive justice. Mean people can achieve, rule, and conquer. When writing, it feels so great to put them on a lower pedestal, and to make them feel sorry for themselves. When writing their point of view in theses situations, you feel bad for doing that to them, but you also feel like they deserve it. Writing is so amazing. You can make worlds, heroes, villains, entire worlds, just with a pencil and a keyboard.
