Welcome, brave travelers, to my profile. I am Thalion Estel, and as your host, I hope to improve your day and possibly your life with my tales. However, before you dive into the stories I have taken the pains to write, let me introduce you more formally to myself.

About me:

I'm not going to write a biography here, but I will list two of the most basic and important truths I confess.

First, what I believe about humanity: Man's chief and highest end is to glorify God and fully enjoy Him forever. --Taken from the Westminster Larger Catechism, Question 1.

Second, what I believe about me: My only comfort in life and in death is that I am not my own, but belong--body and soul, in life and in death--to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. He has paid fully for all my sins in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father; in fact, all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to Him, Christ, by His Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for Him. --Taken from the Heidelberg Catechism, Question 1.

In case you're interested, here are a few more details about me. I was born and bred in the glorious state (or is it country?) of Texas. I grew up there with lots of great siblings and many childhood adventures. I am married to the most amazing, handsome, and godly man I've ever met, and we currently reside in Florida, though we lived in Michigan for one very cold year. I have a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. I obviously love to write, and I do so in fanfiction, original fiction, and non fiction projects. In addition to writing, I enjoy watching baseball (let's go, Rangers!), going on adventures, discussing theology (semper reformanda secundum verbum Dei, y'all!), and daydreaming.

My penname, Thalion Estel, has a two-fold meaning. First, it contains the given names of some of my favorite characters, namely Aragorn and Húrin. However, it also translates to 'steadfast hope', and that is both what I possess and what I want to demonstrate in my life and writing.

About my stories:

My two main fandoms are 1.) anything of Tolkien's and 2.) the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Besides these two fandoms, I also like The Chronicles of Narnia and The Hunger Games, and I have written a couple fics for each. Because my muse is quite flighty, I also end up penning tales or parodies for completely random categories. The genres of my stories vary drastically: some are about friendship, some adventure, some tragedy, and some are just plain silly. Like I said, my muse is an inconsistent maniac.

Besides what is posted below, I also had a part in writing Meneldor's story entitled Don't Take Candy from Strangers, and if you haven't read that, do so now. I am afraid certain lines still make me laugh at odd times of the day. Meneldor is hilarious!

I have a few actual series, each of which is listed below. All other fics stand (more or less) alone.

The first contains There's Always Something, The Answer, and Home for Christmas.

The second series, a very silly little thing, has the fics The Importance of Introduction and Back to the Roots.

A third, which I am going to call the Rally series, has Rallying the Rangers, When Rallies are Not Enough, The Rally that Stung, and The Rally that Never, Ever Quit.

On another note, all my fics which star me--Thalion Estel--exist in the same universe and do connect a bit, but they are not really a series as they do not rely on each other.
