AU Teen!Chester. Sam gets accepted to Stanford and tells John the good news. His father though, is less than pleased, and seeks the help of an outsider to show Sam that he should be hunting monsters and not going to college.

"I have a message for you." The girl ran the knife almost lovingly down Dean's cheek. "From your brother." Her smile was cruel and beautiful. Her words were absolute. "Stop. Looking." In 1998, forty-three children disappeared, vanishing into the night. Among them was 15-year old Sam Winchester. Now seven of them have returned.

Just weeks ago, John Winchester was killed by the elusive yellow-eyed demon. Before smoking out of its meatsuit, the creature said some things to Dean, things that went against everything the young hunter has ever known. But all demons lie, right? Post 6.22 After Sam encounters a particularly harsh look at memory vs reality vs hallucination, Dean decides to take a little dreamwalking trip into Sam's mind to try and help his brother. His choice can either have a devastating or helpful affect.

Post-6.14. When news of Sam and Dean's return to the hunt gets around, some old "friends" come back to find out what's going on. With Sam missing, Dean and Bobby race to find him before the rogue hunters do something to crumble the wall in Sam's mind.

Sam and Dean hunt something they've never faced before but Sam may have his own ideas about how this hunt should end. Set in season three, immediately after Fresh Blood. Written for the hiatus challenge on Supernaturalville.

Tag written to Sympathy for the Devil, Season 5. Sam's a monster and monsters don't deserve anything except to be hunted and their evil removed from the earth. Or rather that's what Sam believes, but Dean not so much.
