![]() Author has written 20 stories for Beyblade, Harry Potter, Sonic the Hedgehog, Anime X-overs, Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu Yu Hakusho, Digimon, D N Angel, Kuroshitsuji, and Saiyuki. If I had a dollar for every time I had someone tell me that I was scary, I'd be even richer (though can't really say I'm rich-rich now but...). Name: Specter Cross CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR: There is a Final Fantasy VII fanfic out there that I've been tearing my hair out to find again. I can't remember the title or the author, but the story detailed a young Cloud going into the Shinra Mansion to escape a pursuing monster. He has but one materia on him [either red or green, but whilst holing himself up further inside, finds another one which unlocks the door to the basement. He unintentionally awakes Vincent, who--after Cloud elaborates why he's even there--goes and destroys the monster, then returns and guides Cloud out. Might've been an implication of Cloud visiting one more time, or jump to the game's present where Cloud finds him again, but I don't recall exactly. If anyone can help me find it, that would be amazing! I am an otaku, now and forever. I'm expanding more from just the anime itself to the theme songs, the artists of the theme songs, and seiyuu. I have a lot of favorite seiyuu... I even have a few favorite English voice actors (for when I am resigned to watch a dub); namely, Crispin Freeman (the voice of Hellsing's Alucard and Naruto's Itachi among other roles) and Yuri Lowenthal (that guy is highly entertaining). Wasn't Code Geass amazing guys? Oh my Kenshin, I was absolutely mesmorized by almost each and every episode. I can't get on youtube that often, or crunchyroll or anything, so I really depend on manga for my Japanese fix (aside from gendou for anime themes). I've a decent collection upwards of a hundred manga, of maybe 14 different series (not counting the stuff that comes in the Shonen Jump mags). Speaking of, I got a Shonen Jump in Japan, and what the hell, not only was it cheaper, it was three times as thick. I know want to watch/read 'Neuro: Demon Detective' or whatever it might be (I'm only sure about the Neuro part). And Grimmi brought me back a promotinal mag with new titles and merchandise of anime coming out, which is why I am now obsessed with Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler); I learned a Japanese pun from that. I strained my eyes looking at the tiny kanji, then typed a jabillion things into Wikipedia and lo, it was there (hooray); now they just need to update the character profiles. GetBackers. I love GetBackers. Everytime I re-read it, I remember why I love it so much. But oh my Kenshin, I made some shocking discovery (...well, it's not a discovery, just something I noticed). While re-reading some of Rurouni Kenshin, I noticed how in the beginning of the Saito arc... Saito-san had similar traits to Akabane-san... There were other characters similarities too I noticed, between Udo Jin-e (mr. Huh Huh) and Fudou... I don't have the time to get into longer series anymore, but if it's good enough I will. I pick up new and old things at random; Mononoke, Noblesse, Natsume Yuujincho, Nabari no Ou, Samurai Jack, Dissidia, Guilty Gear, Gungrave, Air Gear, Yu-Gi-Oh, Thundercats, Elfquest, Devil May Cry, Darker than Black, Ben-To, Dantalian no Shoka, GoSick, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Detroit Metal City, Hetalia, Pokemon, Kuroshitsuji, Saiyuki, Hellsing, @Full Moon, Alichino, Yu Yu Hakusho, Beyblade, Durarara, Panty & Stocking w/Garterbelt, Big O, Pandora Hearts, Kyo Kara Maoh... and stuff. Haha. I am completely fascinated with this new genre (well... I guess it's not a separate genre unto itself but...) that involves serious crack. When I say this, I mean when something important/serious to the plot is happening, and either directly involved in it or slightly contributes to it is something entirely ridiculous (CRACK-y). This is a mild example, but think about how in order to get Undertaker (Kuroshitsuji) to tell you anything, you have to make him laugh. That in itself isn't all out there, but also consider the fact that every time Undertaker's been made to laugh, he does it HYSTERICALLY (and I cannot help but laugh too). I would cosplay as Undertaker if I could... (The Shinigami... I can almost do Grell's voice.) GetBackers is another example of a serious crack anime. Random stuff is prone to happen, especially when there are more people in the mix (not just Ban, Ginji, Natsumi, Paul, and Hevn, but Kazuki, Shido, Himiko, Akabane, Makubex, Juubei, Sakura, Emishi, Kagami, Clayman, Natsuhiko, and Akihiko too!). For example, did everyone read that random game of hide-and-seek everyone played at Mugenjou? CRACK WISHES IT COULD TAKE YOU THAT HIGH. I laughed hysterically though too... (people nearby looked at me funny and I almost made my lip bleed trying to hold it in.) Try it out everyone; go look for some new anime that is completely and utterly serious, but CRACK-y as well. Something about knowing that the random stuff you write for fanfiction actaully has a high probability of happening will make you enjoy writing the fanfiction more, and the anime as well. Serious crack manga is a little more noticeable it seems... Okay! Let's get to an interesting topic. OCs. Yes, I have them. I'm sorry for being so creative. However, I try to limit how I use them for everyone's precious favorite characters in slash, but what can I say? If I want it that way, I want it that way. I also try to keep the number of OCs down to one or two, or have them consume the entire story (in which case, I am borrowing a series setting to flesh out my OC. Knowing this crowd, I am grateful if you simply enjoy reading them). In addition, I tend to not decribe my OC's all that much when there's justy a few (you will see this in one of my 'Kuroshitsuji' stories); it takes away from those already established. So it's as if I like to pretend they were already there from the get-go, and maybe you didn't just see them. If you are curious about any of my OC's, I'll be happy to send you a more detailed profile of them, per your request. I would also be more than happy to beta for anyone, and I enjoy the thrill and challenge of writing with people. It helps if I already know you though, and we can easily get in contact with each other for writing something together. Video games! I like them! Super Smash Bros., Dissidia [kenshin damn Dissidia] Okami, Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, Resident Evil, Sengoku Basara, Guilty Gear, Blazblue, Gungrave, Kingdom Hearts, Soul Calibur, Dance Dance Revolution, Tekken, Guitar Hero, and Wii excersise games are my favorite so far. Halo is the only game that I play semi frequently (hop over to my neighbor's house every weekend and play on their giant TV) yet cannot remember the controls each time I play (which disappoints me a little because I do like it). I bought Dissidia 013 a year after it came out, beat it in about 2-3 months, just in time for me to hear about Dissidia 012 coming out. I wasn't sure I was going to buy it, until they revealed Kain in the line-up, and gave us Helmetless Warrior of Light for free. I beat 012 (including the bonus storyline) in 3 months, and have yet to play anything else on my PSP. J-rock! I like it! I have recently become obsessed with Phantasmagoria, Versailles Philharmonic Quintet, Gilgamesh, SID, Kalafina, Lisa Komine, and the Gazette. I have been madly in love with Buck-Tick, MUCC, Gackt, T.M. Revolution, and X Japan forever. However, I can't listen to 'Forever Love' anymore without tearing up slightly (I always thought it was a moving song, but then I saw it performed for The Last Live...). Remember to appreciate the voice actors too! My favorite Japanese seiyuu: Takehito Koyasu, Nobuo Tobita, Kouji Tsujitani, Daisuke Ono, Junichi Suwabe, Shigeru Nakahara, Megumi Ogata, Ken Narita, Kappei Yamaguchi, Hiyama Nobuyuki, and Jun Fukuyama. My favorite Engligh voice actors: Crispin Freeman, Yuri Lowenthal, Paul Dobson, Christopher Sabat, Justin Cook, Jay Hickman, Ben Pronsky, John Burgmeier, and Chuck Huber. I aspire to be like all of them! If I could meet more of them (cause I've met Yuri Lowenthal and Kappei Yamaguchi), I could die content. Crispin Freeman and Nobuo Tobita make my heart beat fast... (Daisuke Ono too, do you guys know him? And Takehito Koyasu's done EVERYTHING.) Aside from my lovely Belphegor, YAOI drives my soul. Don't fret if you see your favorite bishounen/biseinen in a slash! "He's not gay! He's not!" you might cry. I will agree with you if it's true, I promise. But remember this raving obsessive fans, in the hands of skilled and capable fanficiton writers, the characters are pawns to do our bidding. And on that note, abusive fanficiton writers (you know who you are!), remember... use the creator's characters with love. I eat lemons raw. I'm not joking. I peel it and eat the fruit. But be warned, if you eat enough of them they will start to taste sweet. You are on the verge of a very sour stomach and will feel it in the morning, and your puke will be yellow. I know. I eat peanut butter on a plate with a spoon when I watch TV... early morning anime or Japanese News broadcasting. I am a member of UMD's Gamer Symphony Orchestra, privileged to have performed at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the honor of singing 'Promised Land' from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children's OST before Nobuo Uematsu and his band the Earthbound Papas. Our homepage is here: http:///new/ It goes without saying, of course, that video games are a part of my soul! Alright what else... anybody want to see a favorite pairings list? Of course you don't. I like naming my belongings. Makes people wonder what the hell I'm talking about. "Aaahh, Dante, stop falling out of my hand." "Akabane, I demand you stop sticking this instant." "Oh yeah, Petros is the best. Heavy, but... electric blue!" The speed at which my brain processes pairings is decidedly alarming. To wit, Power Rangers Samurai; watched two episodes not even in order two weeks apart, and already paired Antonio and Jayden together [first ever super tsundere moe moe red ranger? Yessssssss] Things I learned from anime/manga, Lesson 347: When in doubt, shoot it. No exceptions. (I... have nothing to add... except, make sure you use a big gun.) |
