Author has written 6 stories for NCIS. My names Ren. I write and read NCIS...though I'm not on a strict diet of it. Sometimes I like crossovers :-) In the past I've participated in the Harry Potter fandom as well, and often times find myself stopping in there for a new fic or two to read. I'm a Tibbs fan, sometimes a Jony and Tabby fan, and while I used to be on the Tiva bandwagon, I've fallen off and have no desire to get back on. Basically, I like things I'm not going to see on the show, because if I wanted to see what was on the show, I'd have no need for fanfiction- I'd just watch reruns. I don't watch a lot of television shows, unless you count marathon Tennis matches on the Tennis Channel, the occasional rerun of Charmed on YouTube, Bones every couple of weeks...and of course that doesn't include my Tuesday night ritual of watching NCIS religiously, or the times I pop in an X-Files DVD. I guess I should admit to watching late night reruns of Family Guy and American Dad, but that's only when I have nothing better to do. I read a lot. A LOT. I'll read anything, so long as it doesn't offend me (i.e., biased, prejudiced, ranting, etc.). I've read everything from Twilight and Harry Potter to Mein Kampf (not that I agree with anything Hitler ever did, I just thought it would be interesting to see what was going through his head...it turned out to be rather dry). I'm a die-hard Harry Potter fan. I love the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Biographies are interesting (when they're not about annoying reality TV stars and celebrities I don't care about). I'll pay $30 for a hardcover copy of anything with the name Jefferson Bass on the cover. I've read and will continue to read romance novels, but I never find them terribly satisfying (they're like a 1/2 hour sitcom when I'd rather watch the hour long drama). I'm ALWAYS writing, and if I'm not writing, I'm brainstorming. There is something constantly going through my head, be it my own works of fiction or a fanfiction story I'm working on. I wouldn't know what to think about if I didn't have my writing to fall back on. I almost went crazy during that week I swore I'd never write again (don't ask). Sometimes I can go awhile between updates. I work like a crazy person- constantly- so uploading can sometimes be a bit of a hassle. I love reviews, but who doesn't? I try to respond to everybody who reviews, but sometimes I just can't and feel perpetually guilty for it. Note: As of 11/2011 I'm on a Fanfiction hiatus as I try to sort out and deal with A LOT of personal issues going on in my life right now. While The Entity and Till Death Do We Part both only have one chapter left, I have absolutely no time at all to write or update anything as I'm rushing between my 24/7 hour job, school, and two households that need running (neither of which is my own). I apologize and will get back into the swing of things as quickly as I can, but I cannot promise when exactly that is going to be. |
