Author has written 6 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, and Spiral. Well, that's that. I now retire from fanfiction writing. Enjoy your stories, all writers and readers out there, and always have fun. :) Vocabulary: (Basically, all the foreign words and phrases I use in my fanfics...their meanings, in case you don't want to re-scan through the stories for the explanations within...and alphabatized for convenience.) Baku kurae: Something I learned in a different book, traditionally said after someone has been telling the speaker of the phrase about some nightmare or bad dream, to ward off further nightmares, bad omens, and any ill luck that may be being foretold through the bad dreams. ("Oh Dear," Chapter 18) Buraza: simply "brother" (from "Oh Dear," Chapter 8...and mentioned/explained in Chapter 9) Canurae: doesn't mean anything. I made it up. ("Oh Dear," Chapter 19) Niisama: "Big brother" a more formal (and respectful) form than just a normal 'big brother'...notice the 'sama' ("Without Niisama") Otouto: "Little brother" (from "For Otouto," naturally...) Ronin: "wanderer," "outcast," or "masterless samurai" (from "Oh Dear"...first introduced in Chapter 2, explained in Chapter 4) Info on my fanfics: (Because Fanfic just doesn't give enough space in the summary for what you really want to say...) Yu-Gi-Oh! fics: -- "Oh Dear" : A story about Bakura Ryou, who gets into some majorly deep trouble (he even goes to jail!) thanks to the Spirit of the Ring. Now, in order to protect his new friends, can he get over his distrust to team up with the Thief King? NON-YAOI (and non-shonen-ai...no couplings whatsoever.) Rated T for violence, minor swearing (not a whole lot...), and death threats. -- Without Niisama : Oneshot. Basically, what would have happened to Mokuba after Duelist Kingdom if Yugi had continued his attack on the wall against Kaiba, and Kaiba, unable to live with failing his brother, jumped off the wall to his death. Yugi, feeling responsible, still won against Pegasus and ensured Mokuba’s freedom. Mokuba awakens to the news that his brother's dead. Now Mokuba tries to live on without his brother... Rated T just to be safe... -- For Otouto : A poem in Kaiba's POV. As he pieces together his shattered heart, Kaiba remembers how horridly he treated his brother. This poem is an apology, and confession of sorts, to Mokuba. Rated T just in case...and because it's poetry, it's open to interpretation, and I don't want some kid interpreting it wrong. --a Light from Beyond : A little story about Bakura finally being reunited with his dead sister, and the day after. Bakura spends his birthday alone, gets a little depressed, and falls asleep wishing he could at least see his sister, because she never forgot about him, as his friends had. The Spirit hears this plea, and, a little unwillingly, grants Bakura's wish as his "rent." (When we are first introduced to the Spirit in the manga, book 6, he tells Bakura that since he is living within Bakura, he pays "rent" in the form of granting Bakura's wishes...if you have any questions, you can ask me.) Intended as a one-shot, but divided into three short chapters to make reading easier on those people who hate reading anything long. Completed. Spiral (Suiri no Kizuna) fics: -- The Spiral : The Spiral is the fate of the Blade Children, always pulling them deeper…they are caught helplessly in its twists and turns, with no hope in sight as they fall deeper. A little free-verse poem based loosely, and largely inspired by, the Blade Children and their seemingly hopeless situation. Rated T to be safe, again, it's poetry, so open interpretation, and because the Curse of the Blade Children is serious and Spiral is not meant for kids, therefore anything pertaining to it should be similarly rated--we don't want anyone getting the wrong idea. -- Dream of Destiny, Dream of Death : A poem in Eyes’s POV. A startling event changes Rutherford's outlook to even gloomier. As if life as one of the Blade Children couldn't get any worse...the world comes crumbling down, and there's nothing left for Eyes to hold to keep himself from slipping... Basically, his feelings after certain events in manga book 13 (if you haven’t read it, or don’t know what happens in it, I won’t say it, and those of you who know what I’m talking about, let’s not spoil it for the others, hmm? NOTE: poem doesn't mention event...if you were wondering) A simple, three verse free-verse…title needs a little work. Rated just in case and because it’s poetry, there’s always room for interpretation and I don’t want to get in trouble; also, Spiral is not meant for children, therefore, anything pertaining to it should be similarly rated—don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea…plus this poem’s a little dark in outlook. Not for young readers. Disclaimer (how boring) I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! or Spiral (Suiri no Kizuna) or the characters...just the stories/poems that I wrote. Obviously. If I'd owned them, why would I be writing for ? I also do not claim ownership of any other work I may reference now or in the future, with or without my realizing it... |
