Author has written 4 stories for Phantom of the Opera, and Harry Potter.

Ladies and gents, I just started up a LiveJournal blog, so feel free to click on my homepage link andtake a look and friend me.

Hello fellow fan-fiction fans!

In case anyone is interested, I am a 21 year-old struggling writer with aspirations of becoming a professional one. My tastes in fiction have always been diverse, I'll try any genre once. When I was younger I went through a Stephen King phase that led me to appreciate the gritty world of the supernatural and the macabre. I've always had an interest in gothic fiction because darkness is always so enticing. Authors who breathe life into intriguingly hellish characters, situations, and settings have always earned my utmost respect and admiration. I have also found myself thouroughly enthralled by fluffy historical romances that may seem generic and shallow, yet never fail to inspire rich fantasies. Uncommonly deep romance is something of a holy grail for all of us, and even if we cannot experience it ourselves, we still want to see it unfold in some form or another. Fiction is all about fantasy and enriching ones imagination, and what better way to do that then by reading about love that never dies?

I'm primarily a non-fiction writer, but I have decided to try my hand at short stories. I mostly write film reviews, pop culture analysis papers, and political critiques. I enjoy socially motiviated cautionary works of both a fictional and non-fictional nature. Yes, I read Orwell. I think that all strong works must contain the validation of personal philosophies, and no one is more convincing than he.

I'm a huge Phantom of the Opera fan, and the wonderful "Phan" fictions on this site have inspired me to write some of my own. When you combine all of the POTO mediums from 1910 until now, you will find a wonderful mix of social commentary, dark romance, eroticism, and tragedy. It is a story that has inspired me, and as you all know, it's never wise to let inspiration pass you by without attempting to make something tangible of it.

Here are a list of some of my major pop culture favourites.

Movies: The Phantom of the Opera (2004 version of course, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the 1943 version and the 1987 animated film), Kill Bill Vol 1, Forrest Gump, Stand By Me, The Shawshank Redemption, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Deer Hunter, Clerks, Chasing Amy, The Nightmare Before Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the 60s animated version only), Beauty and the Beast (Disney version), A Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, True Stories, Fargo, Schindler's List, Benny and Joon, Quills, Closer, Kinsey, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Documentaries: The Awful Truth TV Series (Michael Moore), and Bowling for Columbine (Moore).

Stage Plays: The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and Beauty and the Beast.

TV Shows: Sex and the City (why must it be over?), and Lost

Musicians: Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses,AFI, and almost all90s alternative music.

Books: Frankenstein (Mary Shelley), The Picture of Dorian Grey (Oscar Wilde), 1984 and Animal Farm (George Orwell), The Island of Dr. Moreau (H.G. Wells), A Clockwork Orange (Anthony Burgess), The Phantom of the Opera (Gaston Leroux), Phantom (Susan Kay), The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Robert Louis Stevenson), Les Miserables (Victor Hugo), Needful Things (Stephen King), Rose Madder (Stephen King), Whitney, My Love (Judith McNaught), Until You (Judith McNaught), All of the Harry Potter books (J.K. Rowling).

Short Stories: The Body (aka Stand By Me), The Shawshank Redemption, Secret Garden, Secret Window, The Library Police (all by Stephen King). The short story anthology Skeleton Crew (King). The Tell-Tale Heart (Edgar Allan Poe).

Autobiographies: Scar Tissue (Anthony Kiedis and some other guy).

My stories can also be found at () and ()

I also post on PFN under the name Provocateur.

On another note, for those of you who may be wondering what has become of "A Delay in Judgment" and "Ecstasy and Emptiness," they have been removed indefinitely. They were my first two fanfics, and I have seemingly fallen out of love with them over time because they require some vast improvements. Once I complete my two WIP's I will edit and revise the other fics and re-post them. I feel that the quality is not quite up to snuff, so to speak. I need time to re-think and re-structure.
