2nd Place. Broken. Madeleine "Maddy" Aldrich. District 10. Lex Talionis.

Maddy. Where do I even begin? I loved her when I made her; and Haiden made me fall in love with her more: so much so through Lex Talionis. She was developed so much in-depth and explored as a character - as this rebel that was so destroyed by her past that she couldn't bring herself to build relations, to allow her emotions to overtake her, to bring herself to care so deeply as she had, before. And her arc was so beautiful: from going from wanting to die to fighting to survive - and how, in the end, she had changed but remained as who she was: cynical without connection, reinforced moreso so by the Games - and there's something so bittersweet in that. Haiden made Maddy far more than I conceived her to be, and I'm so thankful for that. And what I'm even more thankful for is the friendship that came out of it: thank you, really.

9th Place. Bomb-Maker. Koda Aengus. District 3. For Evergreen.

Koda! It was definitely a surprise seeing him make it this far; when I'd submitted his form, I expected him to be Bloodbath, but Olive really went above and beyond in developing him. His arc was bittersweet and quite wonderful to read; him slowly losing his allies, the fault undeniably his, and with himself coming to terms with what'll eventually happen. Goodbye, Koda: I hope you rest in peace.

12th Place. Sad. Val Wang. District 10. B.I.T.C.H.

Val was one of the first characters I've submitted, and to say that she was controversial would be putting it lightly. However, I really enjoyed seeing her development in the leadup to the Games, and her arc was really great to read - seeing her come out of her shell, and being a bit more herself before dying. I'm really satisfied with this placement.

15th Place. Hedonistic. Saiz Ardenes. District 10. Blood Grants.

Saiz was such a fun character to create! Her focus upon time and luck was very intriguing, especially when she'd intertwined them together in her mind, and I had a blast prodding into her mindset whilst writing up her form. It was unfortunate that she had to go in the Bloodbath, but it was super cool to learn that she was originally the intended Victor.

16th Place. Showtime. Andrea Argent. District 2. The Element of Surprise.

Andrea was a character whom I submitted almost on a whim, and I'm so glad I did - because Glory honestly did such a great job with her. It was a shame seeing her go early, but not too surprising; overall, it was really awesome seeing her as a character brought to life as she had been. I thoroughly enjoyed everything!

17th Place. Impassioned. Nuria Aitan. District 3. A Hero's Welcome.

Nuria was one of my first submissions, and it was really enjoyable seeing how she was written - coarse and strong and taking nobody's crap from anybody. She was so much fun and it was so nice seeing that others enjoyed her as well. RIP.
