"I'll consider it." James finally said, after a little too long. "I wanted to speak to you." "And?" Qrow asked. James let out a heavy sigh. "I wanted to discuss your accommodations with you." He mumbled, just loud enough to ensure that only the two of them would be able to hear what he was saying. "I'm sure that you've… realized that you can't be placed in the dorms."

Qrow comes to James' office late at night to make sure that he actually bothers to take care of himself. James is already doing that, even if it doesn't look that way.

Fewer things bite harder than rejection, or the loss of a part of him. There is no comfort in strength, and he is left unable to think of anything other than the few that he'd been in contact lately as he walked home to confess his failure to a Goddess that would hopefully forgive him.

Qrow's from an interesting line of work that puts him in contact with a lot of interesting people. Sometimes, he loses the luck of the draw and unknowingly ends up alone with Salem's assassin. It's a good time as long as its all in good fun, right?

Salem and Ozpin were soul mates. At least, that's what people would call them today. They would be considered matched from birth, predestined for each other. Their destinies were as intertwined as the threads of fate that wove together the rest of the world. That's not what they were though. Not quite.

She is many things to many people. A business partner. A Goddess. A Commander. A Confidant. An Enemy. Some men and women have been foolish enough to love her. Only one has been foolish enough to stop loving her.

James promises to come back to Qrow in one piece, but he should know he can't keep every promise.
