Summary:

Royu Trinity Hadron was born a King. After his father's untimely death, only three months before his birth, many nobles hoped to control the young King, regardless of the child's legacy and ultimate power. Though with his mother's own power, as the Queen Regent, until King Royu came of age to take the Throne, she protected him from the political unrest in the nation of Illéa as he grew up. Now, Queen Regent Stymest is dying, though unknown to the public, and like her husband Late King Ebony before her, the cause is unknown. She will soon to be leaving King Royu, her only son and child, with an unstable nation and without a Queen of his own, if a cure is not found for her illness. With the Queen Regent's final months closing, and no sign of a cure, King Royu sets to announce his own Selection, with a dozen nobles and a nation at his back, sharpening their knives at every corner.

Late King Ebony Hadron, age 22 at death

Late King Ebony Trig Hadron of Illéa

Late King Ebony was a mystery to his people. He was known to be a strong King, though closed off from his people, and most of his Court. He would often be rash, quick to argue or start a fight, though very elusive most of the time. Which created many enemies for the King amongst his Court, with certain Lords believing that they are better fit to rule instead of an elusive, yet rash King. But the Lords soon got what they thought was their lucky chance, with King Ebony's sudden death at the tender age of twenty two, found poisoned in his own private study. Since Late King Ebony has no siblings or close cousins, many Lords assumed that one of them would be nominated to become King, ending the Hadron Era, and staring a new Era in their own name. Though their plans got spoiled when Queen Stymest revealed herself to be pregnant—with Late King Ebony's child.

Queen Regent Stymest Dayholt-Hadron, age 42

Queen Regent Stymest Reed Dayholt-Hadron of Illéa

Queen Regent Stymest was the winner of Late King Ebony's Selection twenty two years previously, the pair becoming a symbol of power and strength, the One and the Six united. She once worked as a simple secretary, working three jobs along with her school studies to help keep her family of seven afloat. To her and the rest of the Dayholt family's surprise, she was Selected as the only Six in the entire Selection. Though this showed no barrier, as her strong and ungiving in attitude caught the attention of then-Crown Prince Ebony Hadron. Only a month and two weeks later, they were married, making history as the shortest Selection in modern times. Though the couple was very much in love despite their short time together, which made the loss of Late King Ebony so much harder for Queen Regent Stymest, when she lost him only a year later, not even able to tell him that she was pregnant with his child. Three months later, then-Queen Stymest gave birth to her and Late King Ebony's son: King Royu Trinity Hadron, named after Late King Ebony's deceased father and mother respectively. Immediately, now-Queen Regent Stymest was bombarded with betrothal offers from dozens of noble families, though Queen Regnant Stymest refused them all, insisting that her son would have a Selection like his father and grandfather before him. She now faced ruling a nation all alone while raising a child to be a King as well as her own son, but did everything in her great, though not unlimited, power as Queen Regent to make her son's transition from boy to King as smooth as possible. Preferably, Queen Regent Stymest would have liked to watch her only child find his true love and finally take the Throne along side with him, but a suddenly illness—a poison—got in her way. Now dying with no cure, Queen Regent Stymest can only watch from the sidelines while wishing the best for her son.

King Royu Hadron, age 21

King Royu Trinity Hadron of Illéa

King Royu Trinity Hadron never had an easy life. He was the only child of a deceased King who couldn't seem to please anyone other than his wife, handing Royu a legacy that no child should have to bear from birth. Royu settled to become a simpleton, leaving the dramatics to his mother and the other nobles who were hilariously desperate to get even a wink of the power that Royu held with just a snap of his fingers. As a child, he could be found, if ever found at all, in such places as only a bare corner of the Palace, reading a book he found in the Private Royal Library. Considered anti-social by many at Court, Royu ignores every remark and snigger, adopted those traits from his elusive father, much to his mother's discontent. Growing up, Royu was surrounded by many different influences, and yet, he inherited most of his traits from his father, displaying his adaptive traits, which Queen Regnant Styment was scared would be used against him someday. Only when Royu turned thirteen, and began talking to the other children of visiting Lords that Queen Regent Stymest became satisfied—until Royu met the son of Lord Tycho: Findlay Tycho, an infamous troublemaker and bad influence. Findlay, more often referred to as Fin, was only a year older than Royu, and they were often jokingly called twins for their identical blue eyes and dark hair, as well as similar facials. Royu and Fin quickly became close friends, the two only introverted, private children of Court becoming friends made sense to those who acknowledged the pair. They grew up together, got tattoos all over their arms and necks together, again, to Queen Regent Styment's refusal, and some even speculated that they may be lovers, though there was no real proof. It's unknown to the public how their young King feels about the Selection, just as much as they know about Queen Regnant Styment's illness, and how imperative this Selection is to the future of Illéa.

2. Please don't make your girl a cliché! Please! I will immediately refuse any "lost Princess" or "normal girl who's secretly a model" or any character like that. I want original characters that haven't been used in other stories, unless you give me a fair reason.

3. I beg of all you possible submitters out there, please give me diversity! This is Illéa, previously America. Please don't give me the same "5'9, blonde/brunette, blue-eyed, loves to bake, is a librarian for the heck of it" character. And remember this especially, diversity is more than just skin color, it's also diversity with characters that make them so special. I don't want fifteen girls with twin brothers or sisters (1 in 67 pregnancies is a multiple birth, so remember how rare that is) or a character who lost their entire family then doesn't really care two years later. Please, I say it again, I ask you for diversity in all terms.
