Story Descriptions Appear Below...

For more information and IMAGE LINKS that go with each story, just refer to the appropriate story category below!! As of June, 2011 the picture links appear to be working for me - try CLICKING first!!!!

IF the picture links with each story are NOT working…

For some reason, the FF dot Net picture links below are not always working. I can only assume that they are not working for any of you either. Therefore, if you're REALLY curious as to what the pictures that go with each story look like:

1. Assemble the following URL (without the spaces) and paste it into an empty browser window:

http: / / s34 . photobucket . com/albums/d107/SonOfTed2/PictureSample.jpg

2. Each link also has a shortcut name next to it. If the link doesn’t work, use the shortcut as the final piece of the URL from step1. For example, to view the Dokimasia starship, replace the “PictureSample.jpg” portion with “Dokimasia3.jpg”.

3. Paste the complete URL from step 1 and step 2 into an empty browser window.

4. Repeat as necessary for each picture you are curious about.

Admittedly it would be easier if the links are working, but they have not been for some time now…

Author's Notes:

If you're reading my work I'm very grateful. If you're replying to my work with commentary I'm even more grateful! I think the Internet is a great thing, and if even a few of you choose to read my works it's a success as far as I'm concerned because my stuff used to get printed out on paper, stuck in a three-ring binder, and then sat in a drawer for years and years turning yellow!

I'm from a medium-sized city in wintery North Dakota (cattle & wheat country) and like to read and write (obviously) in my spare time.

Note: Stories are now listed in REVERSE order from most recently written to oldest. My best advice is to start at the bottom with the first story and read through to the last.

That way you can grow and evolve right along with me!

After "Absolution", the Trek stories are best enjoyed when read in the correct order anyway!!

#6. Mr. Monk Meets Lieutenant Columbo

Once again, a story idea that popped into my head... I'm acting on it before I change my mind!!!!!

June 23, 2011: Rest in peace, Peter Falk! This story is dedicated to you and your family... thanks for all the Columbo memories and for being the voice that told the tale of "The Princess Bride".

You will be missed, sir!

Synopsis: A brutal murder at the Los Angeles Zoo appears to be just one small link in a larger chain of events. Hoping to speed along his newest homicide investigation, the legendary Lt. Columbo calls his colleague Leland Stottlemeyer in San Francisco and formally requests assistance. Everyone in California, you see, has heard of the infamous Adrian Monk and his super powered detective skills.

Will Adrian Monk and Natalie Teeger accept Columbo’s invitation to assist him with the ongoing investigation?

Will Captain Leland Stottlemeyer and Lt. Randy Disher tag along?

Will TWO top investigators, Monk and Columbo, be sufficient brain power to solve this mysterious murder? Or will they drive each other crazy?

#5. Star Trek: Infinite Diversity

This story takes place EVERYWHERE there has been "Star Trek"!! In the past, the future, and things even kicks off with a scene taking place MILLIONS of years into the DISTANT future!!

Several years ago, I envisioned a scenario where I wrote a unique, original story to honor EACH of the five TV series that have kept us thrilled and entertained for over four decades now. I envisioned that scenario and (sighing heavily with despair) settled for "Absolution", a combination story that included characters and elements from all FIVE shows.

Therefore, the conclusion of "Infinite Diversity" will be a truly stellar achievement for me. Never in my WILDEST dreams did I ever think there would BE a day when I would be writing the final story of this tribute, having included elements of all FIVE series in EACH of the five Trek stories!! I am therefore ELATED, to say the least. (I even managed to include parts of the animated series in "Eternal Soul".)

As usual, there are pictures from the show that go with this story... I print them out and keep a copy with each novel, but I'm sentimental that way. It makes me FEEL like a real author!

SO HERE WE GO with "Infinite Diversity"... THIS one needs no further notes, no further dedications. I am writing it simply for the sheer FUN of it all!

#4. Star Trek: Reign Of Terror

This story takes place primarily in the "Deep Space Nine" setting, but once again involves elements and characters from all FIVE of the television series. It's just TOO much fun writing these things and I absolutely LOVE playing "Who's going to show up next"??

By the way, as of this posting we STILL have brave, dedicated men and women in uniform serving in harm's way. So this book is ALSO is dedicated to ALL of those soldiers in the U.S., our dear friends in the U.K. and other NATO allies, and the rest of the hard working citizens of the free world, who have fought to keep us safe over the years. These soldiers... these people are OUR version of Starfleet, the real life heroes who actually go out and DO the kinds of positive things on our tough planet that the rest of us can only dream about. I would also like to include a memorial honoring ALL those who have died defending freedom, fighting fires, serving in law enforcement or otherwise putting their own 'eternal souls' on the line for the rest of us. We ordinary citizens couldn't survive in this world of ours without a lot of brave, courageous heroes to keep us safe!

We can never thank them enough, so if even one person is entertained at the prospect of another "Star Trek" adventure then I am most happy to oblige. I encourage everyone to look POSITIVELY toward the future... we ALWAYS find a way to work through tough, turbulent times.

#3. Star Trek: Dark Archon

If the ideas keep flowing then I guess you could say that as long as I have the time to do so I'm going to keep writing! It's fun, I personally feel a lot of the Trek episodes ended just begging to have sequels or continuations! If you watched then you feel it too... so many of them ended right where there was oh so much more story to tell. I've read a lot of the published books (and fics from other authors out here on ) over the years, and I've noticed a lot of authors take chances. The real shows never dared go too far, because each week they had the same cast contracted and the same special f/x budget. Thus we, as writers, have a lot of freedom that others do not. If you love a new episode now and then, well... I'm trying my best to put new ones out here as fast as I can think of them. This story may be a bit darker in its tone, but overall I think everyone will agree that the end result shall emerge as classic Trek. I'm continuing my pattern of weaving the various series together, by the way... it's way too much fun and I love keeping readers wondering just who or WHAT is going to show up next!

"Star Trek: Absolution" was my first Trek novel and is dedicated to all fans of "Star Trek" and science fiction, whoever and wherever they may be. This story has to be primarily dedicated to Le'letha, one of my all-time biggest fans and someone who always seems to be available to read my stuff and submit a thorough review. The hits my stories get have often been numerous, and I have no doubt that much of it is due to her enthusiastic cheering, bows, curtsies, and utter dedication to preserving the "Star Trek" legacy that only another true fan can recognize. So hats off to Le'letha everyone... she writes some pretty darn good stuff and I strongly recommend you visit her "Memory Alpha" C2 for even more great stories!

Oh... one last thing. "Dark Archon" has lots of cool pictures that go with it too! Refer to the links below if you don't believe me!

#2. Star Trek: Eternal Soul

I've never been able to get the animated episode "Beyond The Farthest Star" out of my head. That was the first time that the young boy I used to be ran into Star Trek. I saw THAT particular episode one Saturday morning and never missed the animated series again. Not all of the cartoon versions were memorable, but they were surprisingly well done in the spirit of the original series. Particularly "Yesteryear", "Beyond The Farthest Star", and "More Tribbles, More Troubles" I consider to be essential viewing for any true fan.

Later, a new fad sweeping the nation in the late 1970's and early 1980's showed up. Cable TV. One day I was watching shows with a friend and WALLAH... there was Captain Kirk and crew in real life. Previously I had thought of Star Trek as a cartoon... I had absolutely NO idea that it had been a TV show in the 1960's when I was just an infant. The first episode I ever saw was "The Savage Curtain". So seeing Abraham Lincoln, a molten lava world, and talking rocks was truly a unique experience for a young kid with a wild imagination.

Star Trek did everything right except for the most recent movie. They COULD have overlapped the three 24th Century series and had the characters from each interact with each other. They could have done that but they DIDN'T, and I wanted to see that... I NEEDED to see that. Thus I thought and I plotted and I planned and I put together "Absolution". Although I don't expect "Eternal Soul" to turn out nearly as well, I have high hopes for it (crosses fingers). It's been so very fun to plan out an elaborate outline that spans multiple series and then have folks read through wondering "who's going to show up next"?

This book is dedicated to the astronauts who have lost their lives in the pursuit of exploring space, as well as to ALL of those soldiers in the U.S., our dear friends in the U.K. and other NATO allies, and the rest of the hard working citizens of the free world, who have fought to keep us safe over the years. #1. Star Trek: Absolution

I have always loved watching "Star Trek" in all its incarnations. Yes, they crank out lots of episodes per season and yes some of them re-use plot ideas or themes from episodes in the other series but I still have loved it anyway. Just because sooner or later they make that classic episode we'll never forget: "The City On The Edge Of Forever", "The Doomsday Machine", "Yesterday's Enterprise", "The Best Of Both Worlds", "ST: First Contact", "The Die Is Cast", "The Visitor", "Necessary Evil", "Caretaker", "Year Of Hell", "In The Flesh", "Endgame", & "Broken Bow" are just a few of my favorites.

I wrote two Star Trek novels in college (neither turned out very well). I had always planned to write a third "Star Trek" novel and simply never gotten around to it. Originally the story was going to focus primarily around Data's adventures on the planet "Stadia" (which I gave a name since it was never revealed in the ST: TOS episode "A Private Little War"). The potential of a spin-off from "Yesterday's Enterprise" had always intrigued me and I wanted to do it, but there wasn't enough there for an all-out on-line novel. After finishing Pathfinder I wanted to write another one while my fingers were at the ready. Thus I expanded my idea to two storylines, with Data's exploits being an extremely interesting side plot while the main story developed. The idea of including elements (and characters) from all 5 of the television series as an overall theme was an added challenge that I simply could not resist.

This novel is dedicated to fans of adventure, science fiction, and those who simply love to sit back and read a good solid story! Oh, and to my family... I love all of you dearly! Hi Mom & Dad!

Images that go with this story are posted below. THANKS sincerely to BravoFleet dot com for this GREAT map of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. I borrowed a copy and updated it to show the location of the “Dark Nebula” and the planet “Stadia”, but they deserve all due credit for the original!
