Read your story from start to finishstaying up WAY later than I should because it was so wonderfully written I couldn't stop. I love the series and the movies, but wished they would have included a more in depth look at how they healed and became a couple, got married, had kids.. Etc... The book mentioned some and the movie just glossed over it and BAM.. Happy with kids. It gives so much more depth and meaning reading about their struggles and successes on how the healed and got together finally as a couple. It's not a fairy tale. Life has suffering and pain. There are bad days and good days. I loved that you included all of it. Well done!

Well done! I'm a huge HP fan as well, although a die-hardh/g shipper. I've written a few stories there, but never attempted a Hunger Games one. Peeta is also my favorite character, and I really appreciated your version of his POV. Everything in this fic seemed plausible, which is always how I gauge fanfiction.

I'm always more drawn to seeing Katniss comfort Peeta once in a while. It always seems so focused on the other way, so I really appreciate a good read about Peeta. He had me at the bread. My two favorite scenes where the one where Katniss come back before the Memorial and finds Peeta having a flashback. I like how she stood by him in that scene. My other favorite was this entire chapter. I've wondered so much about Peeta's family, and I always wanted to see more on his side of the losses, so thanks very much for sharing your time and talent.

Perfection! There were a few snipits that thew me off, but on a whole... this is exactly what I was looking to read after watching the final movie last weekend. I searched many a story before I found yours and am so pleased! The emotional carnage they were both in on an individual basis, let alone how they felt about each other, the slow healing process (which made the happy ending that much more worthwhile), the interactions between other characters which aided in Katniss' and Peeta's romance, and finally the ending!

I was so worked up when you had Gale return. I was convinced in my mind that all communication between him and Katniss was over. Yet, your spin on it makes complete sense. If Gale cared about her he would give it one last go. And if Katniss really wanted to move on with her life she would have forgiven him. I was under the impression that they understood each other, he realized his mistake, and would spend the rest of his life regretting it (as harshly as that sounds, lol .). Nonetheless, your take on it is much more enjoyable. Plus we finally got to hear Katniss' overdue confession to Peeta about her feelings towards him. So perfect!
