See and this is the Slash and Raphael relationship we should have gotten... I love the atmosphere of this one. How it takes place just before first light - it's always darkest before dawn and it resonates with how Raphael is feeling. His world feels over, but just as the sun always rises, Mikey brings light and love back into his life just when his older brother is at his darkest. It's a beautiful and moving image.

Excuse me while I go cry in a corner please send Mikey to come give me hugs.

That was so sweet! Usually in fics, you see Raph comforting Mikey. But it was nice to see it the other way around. Great job!

Perfect and beautiful. I loved the style and flow of this. Kinda calm at first, and Mikey babbling. Then it quickly escalates to Raph exploding on the rooftop. And Mikey just watches sadly. Knowing very well that he needs to let his brother let out some steam. And before his anger can totally consume him Mikey intervenes the best way he knows how, in a way only Mikey could. A hug and comforting words. I think Mikey can calm Raph down better than anyone else. And besides one of his family, the only one who can get Raph this upset, this emotional, is Spike. I'm sure Raph was hoping that they could be friends again after everything, and the fact that Spike gave his life for him must have just killed him inside. Man... that was really good.

Awesome story. It's sad Slash is gone, but I can see him doing this to protect his master and best friend. At least Mikey was there to comfort him and give him support. Nicely done on this.

I love the role reversal here. Normally it's Raph comforting Mikey, and I like it when people change it round. Mikey's a great comforter too Good job!

I totally feel bad for Raph! And i never expected Slash to be killed. And even though he was the bad guy, he gave his life for Raph, and i'm glad he did. I loved how Mikey comforted Raph in the end, it kinda reminded me of the scene in 'the invasion' and it was so cute!

Aww. Poor Raph. And good on Mikey for being such a good bro. And good on Slash for being a "good guy" in the end.
