I love it!

With the amount of abuse Harry had in his childhood he could have easily had emotional problems. Add to it the adventures he had in school. Plus the unknown effects of the horcrux in his head he could have easily been unbalanced. So far I think the horcrux is influencing him. But the ideas must have been in Harry all along. It just took the right spark to ignite. I think Dumbledore is going to regret not helping Harry sooner. I always thought a good health check in 1st year should have kept Harry from ever going back to the Dursley's.
