Simon is and always will be my favorite character in the Septimus Heap series. I love him. And I honestly thought Jenna became more bratty at the end than she should have.

Interesting take. I can't really remember which part of the story you changed (quite sad of me, I know, but I don't live for Magyk). Still, you did a good job with this what-if fic so far. This is a great start!

I'm in a small state of shock that you wrote another Septimus Heap fanfic. Ahem.
First off, I love the summary. It's very beautiful and leaves me feeling that I HAVE to know how it all ends.
And I love all the details in this story, and the style of writing. I've always loved your style, but I can't find the words to give you the compliment you deserve. I also really love the characterizations. I didn't know how much I needed to read sarcastic Simon until now.
And Septimus's inner and outer dialogue is very on point.
I'm so excited that this is a chapter fic! I really wish I could give a better review, but, you know, I'm still in that small state of shock.
Oh, and THM! I don't like the trio as much, either. I feel like Tod's personality isn't 100% developed, and the adventures honestly don't have the same charm to them. And I ranted to my sisters for so long after reading about Sep yelling at Beetle. He didn't even apologize! It felt out of character.
You know, Snorri's eyes did the same changing colors and back again thing. I think Angie needs a new editor. And about Kaznim: Angie called her Arabic/Beduion, which is totally incorrect, because A: Arabic is a language, the people are called Arabs, and B: Umm, an Arab at the bottom of Africa? I don't think so. She needs to do her research.
Ahh, sorry for that short rant. I do have a question for you. SepxJen or JenxBeetle?
Anyway, I loved the story so, so much. I'll be waiting for the next update!
