Reviews for Things We Couldn't Change
anikalara chapter 1 . 7/4/2018
it's perfect
JaniceC678 chapter 1 . 5/8/2017
Oh, man...so much pain and hurt and no place for it all to go on both their parts. This is so raw and so powerful and so real...no magic fixes, but still the love and concern that underlies it all, always.
skag trendy chapter 1 . 8/7/2016
Loved this hon! Great sequel, and the boys are spot on.

Kind regards,

ugh i just love absolutely everything you put out there
Lennelle chapter 1 . 7/28/2016
I read this as soon as you posted but it took me until now to realise I didn't leave a review! Anyway, I loved it, as usual. I'd really liked the Anywhere Else But Here and I'm glad you wrote a sequel, I know you tend to post one-shots and you're a busy lady so it's extra exciting to get a fic from you, and even more exciting to get a sequel.
This was really realistic and true to the characters. Poor Sam and Dean. I love how mature Sam is, he's like a tiny little grown-up.
And that last line was perfection and it sums up Sam's tragic life in ten words.
Lovely, as always!
zekeschance chapter 1 . 7/25/2016
This is just a sad state of affairs. Loved how you had them trying to deal with what happened. Totally in character.
Mimmi85 chapter 1 . 7/25/2016
absolutely love it. will you please write more?
ccase1313 chapter 1 . 7/23/2016
This is really a heart-rending picture of the young boys. Poor Sam and to cap it off he threw-up when they're likely out of food. I will have to remember to offer food the lost looking more often in RL.
BranchSuper chapter 1 . 7/23/2016
Their lives in a nutshell. Good job.
SGAavidreader chapter 1 . 7/23/2016
As always, your stories leave me wanting more! (more stories that is, not that they are lacking content). I love angsty Sam and Dean when they are written in character, which you do so well!
IritIlan chapter 1 . 7/23/2016
Always great to find a new story by you.
Love to here Sam's thought and emotions here. And he is right and the situation and the way they live that is to blame, not Dead, but knowing that does not make anything better.
I do blame John a though, it's just wrong that they are forced to do *this* to survive.
And Dean of course will blame himself, not even realizing that it shouldn't have been like this for them.

I love to see Sam as strong and can take care of things, but still SAM.
Sam J Eller chapter 1 . 7/22/2016
Oh gaawwd the emotions! This is amazing. I don't read much fanfic anymore, I don't have the time and it is difficult to find stories I can appreciate. But your fics are always the exception. I love this one! It is a great continuation and I would always love more. You are a very talented writer and your fics are incredibly well done. This made my week, babe! Thank you!
SPN Mum chapter 1 . 7/22/2016
It is a good thing that Sam knows how to fight, and that he's quick and his enemies underestimate him, but it is also true that it sucks that Sam should be in a situation that requires him to know these things. The whole situation was John's fault though, because he didn't leave them enough money to last until he returned, and that caused Dean to have to hustle money for him and Sam. Dean is very lucky that he and Sam escaped with as little damage as they did. Perhaps this was just one more instance that caused Sam to decide to leave his family when he turned eighteen.
piece2gether chapter 1 . 7/22/2016
Thank you for writing this. Your portrayal of Sam's thoughts and emotions, I thought, were incredibly accurate. I so appreciate your writing.
ziggy.uk chapter 1 . 7/22/2016
This was great, awesome that you continued Anywhere Else But Here and, as usual, you got both Sam and Dean spot on with their words and emotions in the aftermath of recent events. Perfect how Sam told Dean he had done something, he'd taught him how to fight, that's how he'd stopped him, as he needed Dean to forgive himself. And very powerful last sentence.
