Unless you're changing how spells themselves work in this universe, Fiendfyre doesn't work like that. I'm going by what you identified Ivy's accidental magic as here.

Fiendfyre is the hottest, most powerful magical flame spell possible from canon. It is said to be able to burn anything and can only be blocked by a magical shield. It is noted to turn ANYTHING it touches to DUST (emphasizing that for a reason), take on the shapes of animals, have pseudo or partial sentience, not be put out by water, and will burn for several days if it gets out of the caster's control.

The closest real life analogue we have to this would be something along the lines of a fluorine fire or the effects of a chlorine triflouride spill.

The reason I emphasized the dust part of that explanation is that the Dursleys' bodies were merely crispy and the house, while also scorched, was still standing. So was the accidental spell Fiendfyre with you changing how the spell works or was it a different spell and Hopkirk was just blowing everything out of proportion?

Lots of weird things going on here. I have nothing against piercings or tattoos, but at eleven? Ears, sure, but the rest just sort of kicks my suspension of disbelief.

btw, you realise in the first chapter you say she's just about eleven and give what turns out to be an average height for that age (even though she's malnourished)?

I guess I'll follow, but I think you would be well served to give greater mind to the mechanical aspects of your writing. That makes for a smooth reading experience.

First, I swear I've read this before. Second, I think you really need to go back through and fix a bunch of mistakes (like the weird line breaking problems). Third, is she Ivy or is "he" "Harry"? Because I'm not sure how either Sirius or Lupin could know what's going on there. That whole discussion in the last part was awfully confusing.

Not bad...is it just me, or was greyback giving her that necklace really, really sketch? it might just be his portrayal in both cannon and other fanfics (typically as him being a pedophile), that's coloring my perceptions, but still...very, very sketchy...

Dont remember if i had voted for the pairing yet or not, but if not i vote for Tonks. heh, if you have the mind for it, you can have our little shapeshifter enjoy being an...extreme tomboy, for lack of a better term.

...why was there a bottle of basilisk venom in a jewlery box? i mean, i know some people mix regular snake venom into nail polish to make it look shinier, but with something as toxic as basilisk venoms supposed to be?

one minor issue, when you first got to ollivanders and he was telling Ivy about her father's wands, you actually left out the wand and what it was good for, so it reads "James had a , great for ."

Hmmm I think Tonks would be a good pairing for a transgender Harry, considering her particular talent, I would assume she'd be supportive and wouldn't treat Ivy any different. Hermione is my second choice, I like Fleur and all but I don't know if I could see it without help

I'm really enjoying your story so far! I can't wait to see how Sirius' try to claim Ivy will end up clashing with the Malfoys, and I really hope it ends in some Malfoy/Black alliance that will make Dumbledore's life hell. XD
As for the pairing, I'd really love to see Ivy with Tonks, mainly because I think she's an amazing badass character with so much potential, but also because I think her being a metamorphomagus would allow her to understand Ivy's feelings as a transgender. Or you could have her be with Hermione, and have Tonks and Fleur be together as a badass couple and role models ;-)
