I love this story, and you're right about Xytan being a wasted character and sangheili being underestimated, even spartan III's describe elites as blindingly fast

I don't know if you know this but in the codex for the thannix canon (or however you spell it) it says the reaper beams aren't actually lasers. But other than that this is an interesting read

Well I suppose there are worse Candidates for Immortal God-King than the universally displaced Super-Solider-even-by-the-standards-of-his-race-of-super-soldiers.

You have to remember that atriox met the spartans of red team who have both less experience due to a much longer cryo sleep and older suits(I believe the older suits multiply strength by 2 and newer suits multiply strength 5) .With more time in cryo sleep their augmentation have not improved their bodies as much because their bodies improve with age. They were basically fighting one on one the whole encounter. They were separated and disarmed every chance that atriox could do it. It is also nearly impossible for anything the beat a brute in hand to hand combat, including spartan II's. Fights, even for spartan II's against brutes have to be shoot it and stay out of melee range or die because they are so OP. Since Atriox is a chieftain with a gravity mace and a power gauntlet against spartans with less experience and older suits, I can see that fight sucking for the spartans like it did.

You're math is about as right as I can figure. But this is the sad thing about mass effect, their universe can't stand against most seires. Like "Warhammer 40k", "Star wars", "Battle star", and "Halo". These seires are really based around war, and Mass effect is not.
Like most of their guns that they use, are actually weaker in firepower then our currently used weapons.

I would love for a spartan to meet Xytan. I understand why you wouldn't, it's so over done (and poorly at that) that's it's a cliche, but considering how well you've done Xytan it makes me wonder how you'd do with a Spartan insert.

If you do decide not to put a Spartan into this story, I respectfully request you write a second story with the focus of a Spartan of your choice.
