I was enjoying this but now he isnt being a professor, he is being an obnoxious superior knowitall. To show them technology 30 years ahead of 1990s and tell them blithely, well its state of the art where i come from... that is as useless to them as muggle classes based on a century old knowledge. The point of the muggle class isnt for Xander to state "Im so great" but to actually understand their world and society in which they live.

The internet didnt exist in 1990 in any recognizable form. The www was an infant in 1992 and 1993. You could get conversations going but certainly couldnt search like he is stating he wants them to do so.

Libraries were still the way research was conducted in the 1990s. Where are they supposed to get the books or newspapers to find out about his truth or falsity?

He isnt helping these students. He is showing off his belief in his own superiority.
