The Kobold Necromancer chapter 20 . 9/29/2019
As the mystery deepens, the characters are really starting to showcase their personalities a lot more. I know what many people are going to be commenting on, but I think it's just intriguing to see more of the villain's plan! Skulls left around seems to be a trademark for Danganronpa villains. ;)

...what?

Oh...

Never mind...
PotatoSorcerer chapter 20 . 9/29/2019
So, wait, we're going to take Komori, the character who has been shown to be very slothful and dislike physical activity... and give her weed? Like, are we sure she's not going to have total organ failure from all the chillness taking over her body? Nah, by our luck, she'll be one of those people who get hyper-paranoid when high.
Jack's quickly making his way up my list of favourites, simply because he's able to respect everyone's feelings. Isidore, conversely, is pretty much at the bottom. And it's nice to see Robert actually speaking to people for once. Character development! I'm just hoping Isidore and Holland don't scare Marina too much if they decide to interrogate her. Rowan's a really nice guy, even if he is hiding the mastermind's identity.
Honestly, going back and reading some of Gabe's conversations, I can't believe I didn't notice all the subtle hints to his past. Hell, even his ability to cook makes sense: of course a traditional household would force their daughter to learn her way around the kitchen! Still, it's nice that Liam has made a new friend, and I'm glad he's going to try and discuss this with his brother. Though at this point, I'm worried if Lucas' cynicism might end up becoming justified...
bellatrixshine chapter 20 . 9/29/2019
As always, Isidore is an asshole, but Kuro seems to sort of becoming less of an asshole. Also, that heart to heart between Liam and Gabriel was so sweet, as well as the one between Marina and Rowan.

BirblordAlmighty chapter 19 . 9/18/2019
Not sure if the Jack thing's a red herring or not. Sure Jack in general has a very phantom thief esque vibe but it seems too easy. King's role in the grander scheme of things could be very interesting regardless. Not sure if the Vergil and Marina scene implies that she's in cahoots with them or the MM is feeling mercy either. Just a lot of uncertainty here tbh.

PotatoSorcerer chapter 19 . 9/12/2019
Now I kinda wish I had Tulpas, if they give you the ability to survive death by taking the hit for you. Although now I'm getting a similar feeling I did when the truth about V3-1 was revealed near the end: Valentina fulfilled the motive but was killed anyway. She killed 3 people. It seems the mascots only follow their own laws when it suits them.
Jack and King, you say? Now, where else in this story have we seen a card-motif? Perhaps King is secretly a part of the Ultimate Phantom Thieves we saw earlier, maybe even without Jack's knowledge. As for Ace and Queen, I've got no idea. Although that does get me wondering, every time we see split-personality in Danganronpa, the personalities always have separate talents. Jack is a Host (which is just realized is a pun on his DID, goddammit), but what's King? I'd guess something to do with law enforcement, given how he acted earlier. Maybe a Vigilante?
Also, Rowan is aware of what's happening behind the scenes. That puts his previous actions in a new light, to say the least. I find it quite amusing that the only excuses Cerise can come up with are "Bigger picture" or "That's the way it is." Almost like she knows her ideals are total and utter bull. Problem is, even the audience knows less than we think we do, so how long is it gonna take for the students to learn the truth?
TJMike chapter 19 . 9/12/2019
Ohhhh what is going on here? Seems like it was a long night for the cast following Valentina's execution.

So it appears that the tulpas can actually die... maybe since Morgan was in control during the attack he died first with the first strike, and then Rachel sprung to action leading to her demise with the second strike. Looks like the vessel that is Robert lost 2 out of his 5 lives in one attempt.

And I'm still trying to figure out Nero's role in all this. I've thought he was some sort of prisoner by the mastermind (which I think it's been confirmed is Cerise the headmistress), but this time we see him as an active participant in managing the killing game. Either Cerise managed to brainwash him into her little crusade, or he's just pretending and waiting for his chance.

On that note... what the hell is Cerise and Rowan doing? Was this a case of a mole being revealed early? I would think this was a dream, but there was the hour and date in that segment... I'm so confused right now lol.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure Marina is the one who made both Vigril and Bea. Question now is whether she made them out of her kindness or was forced to make them for the KG. Maybe they were made by her grandmother like Akazukin?

Overall, I felt it was a bit short, but at the same time one of the most intriguing chapters so far for VA. I can already smell a big revelation in the following chapters lol.
