i really admire this. i cannot put my finger on what worked the best... it all did. cloud's demeanor, her wish for a better life... bravo.

Wow, that was really good. I wasn't expecting anything that good to come out of the Honeybee Inn scene, but wow! Great job. I never even really thought about the girls in the Honeybee Inn as anything more than what they were in the game (like the other reviewers), but you really brought them to life. Very interesting story!

I agree totally with JadedEcho. I thought that the honeybee you meet in the game seemed stressed out, bored, uninterested - and uninteresting. But here, you make her real.
Poor 'Honey'; she has a lousy life, and when she finally tricks herself into thinking she can escape, Cloud turns out to be just another customer...
I could identify with the main character, and I liked her; even though she was rather arrogant and bitchy and kept wanting everything to turn out like a mushy movie. She just had so much personality, and so much life, she practically needed her own birth certificate. _

I had never really considered the Honey Bee Inn as anything beyond a short comedic interlude in the game, but here you've done a fantastic job fleshing out a character from it and creating a great fic. Wonderful job!
