The end of this chapter was absolutely perfect. Reading on...

I'm glad I had some extra time today, Mucada, because I wanted to catch up on some stories and found this!

Your version of Remus is among my favorites-artsy and intellectual and completely blind, sometimes, to the people around him. But what I admire more, however, is your keen sense of detail and the sensuality with which you infuse each paragraph. It's really a treat to read. I'll definitely be watching this one, and thank you for posting it.

Oh, it was wonderful as all of the other chapters. Loved the description of Tonks' appartement. And poor Lupin, he seemed so lost.

Can't wait for more. :)

Maybe your best chapter yet! I love the house-Remus parallels, and the exchanges between Remus and Tonks. Nice work!
BaskervilleBeauty chapter 4 . 8/25/2005
I think this is your best chapter yet. You're finally getting into "too old, too porr too dangerous".

Oh, and by the way, I like to think of the JKR R/T version as yours! It makes me smile to think of her reading your stuff!
mercutio-rane chapter 4 . 8/24/2005
Oh, that was a lovely twist on things. It's fantastic how Remus loses his center of balance when the picture is flipped, when he's on her turf instead of vice versa. It's like all the things that he considered safe are somehow no longer so when he's approached her world, when he's the one in a foreign place, a place he's never had the chance to consider or study in the same way that Tonks has so carefully studied his world and him.

Bravo!
mercutio-rane chapter 3 . 8/24/2005
Loved this one! Again, heavy on all the little touches that make your pieces come alive. The blue afro bit and her thoughts on it put a huge smile on my face and the little aside that she already knows how the conversation would go was perfect. I also loved the line that Remus is Tonks' greatest failure. That line works on so many levels - love as an addictive vice one can't shake (possibly so in times of war?) but also from the standpoint that Tonks is still struggling to understand him to her contentment, and constantly fails. There's always another layer to reveal beneath the one freshly removed.

thanks for writing and sharing! :)
MamaLisa chapter 3 . 8/13/2005
I am loving this, so well-written-the slow pace, the detail, the depth of feeling. I'm totally on board with the no plot thing really, but maybe just a teensy bit more dialogue if you would? Please update soon in any case.
Rachel chapter 3 . 8/12/2005
Wow. Nice chappie. Loved it! You must update!
TrinityDD chapter 3 . 8/11/2005
Oh, the last line killed me! -sighs-

It was great. Loved the chapter. And can't wait for more. :)
Moogie chapter 3 . 8/11/2005
Loved this one, the "no plot" is perfect. I've been a shipper for two years too, and it's nice to read someone who didn't just start writing about this ship last month. Please add more.
nycgrl chapter 3 . 8/11/2005
Ah, I do so adore this fic! The atmosphere you create is so special, and I've been trying to think of what it reminds me of. I've finally come to the conclusion that it resonates the same air as West Side Story :) Everything's a little muted and lazy, and people sing out their emotions on empty streets. Anyway, I'm loving this, so please continue!
