TeeJay turned me on to this fic and ever since I read it a couple of things have been bothering me. So I'm going to go ahead and get them off my chest. Just my opinion, mind you. But here we go:

1) The whole story falls apart for me right off the bat because the premise doesn't hold. I cannot believe that either Luke or Grace would be stupid enough to have sex without a condom, so I just can't buy any of these fics about accidental pregnancies that people keep writing.

2) Please stop writing Adam as a suicidal wimp - or leave him out of your fics altogether. I can't take it anymore. It seems like a lot of G/L shippers have an oddly low opinion of him for some reason, so why don't you just not write him? When I read that stuff about Grace subscribing to the Arcadia newspapers so she could check the obits to see if he offed himself because she left town, I almost lost it. Come on! Honestly, after that, I can't figure out why I kept reading. I guess I hoped it would get better, but it really didn't. This has become so rote by now that I am reluctant to read a G/L shipper fic even if it comes highly recommended by someone I trust. Like this one did.

Not trying to be an ass here. Just sayin', this is what some of us J/A shippers feel when we read G/L fics. There aren't that many new JOA fics coming down the pike these days so it'd be great if the two shipper camps could enjoy each other's stuff, wouldn't it?

Excellent story but I hate unhappy endings for Luke and Grace. For Joan and Adam...not in the least bit sorry whenever it comes to them. I never could stand Adam. Of course I knew it was going to be or ya would have chosen a different title. I guess the gold ring on the necklace means they at least got married so that's not so bad.

What did I say about not letting him die, eh? :p

I suppose i'll have to forgive you for it. That was beautiful, nice work.

Oh wow... Luke died? That's a harsh one. But I still liked it. And you're right, life isn't always that easy, I've had to experience some of that myself this year. And yet, you clench your teeth and make your way through it. Hope whatever real life is dealing you will turn out okay, Ceil. Looking forward to more updates of your other stories.

Wow...that was...wow very unexpected but good. I'm doing better now with this subject so the ending isn't bothering me of course but you did an excellent job and I like the unconventional ending.

OH...MY...GOD...wow, i definately wasnt expecting that...major kudos...i think i kinda knew that was what it was gonna be tho...lol...absolutely CANNOT wait for the next update

Of course I'm still reading this, and good chapter by the way. I completely understand writers block and family issues, believe me I understand the latter. Keep updating when you have a chance, you have such a great story here!
