Holy cow. Hiei's the one who charred him, yet Kurama still comes across as the scariest. In a delightful sort of way. I liked the parallel between Yusuke and Sensui's appearance, and the descriptions of Itsuki's madness. Nice job!

Love it! The color was the perfect choice, and you managed to keep a soft!Hiei as much in character as is possible when ribbons and gifts are involved. The last line was the cincher. Very cute, in a 'totally unintentional on Hiei's part' way.

I too agree that Yomi doesn't get enough love, and I like this little niblet. Yummy, yummy.

I haven't seen this twist on post-Three Dark Treasures Arc events before. ...and given the way that fandom usually goes, I am very surprised to say that. Maybe I was half-asleep or they had bland or atrocious summaries. Suffice to say, for whatever reason, your plot looks both original and common-sense to me.

Also, you pull it off very well. Not just standard rape/dub-con/torture, but more subtle mind-fucking and "we are all adults here and used to using sex to get what we want." And while it may not be specifically said, I get the impression [and really like the impression] that for all that Koenma is the one with the key and supposedly the one dominating the exchange, since Kurama never loses his cool and Koenma is the one who actually lusts after/wants a little companionship from Kurama, he's the one in the more vulnerable position.

It very much appeals to the major draw of Yomi/Kurama for me: You cannot have your cake and eat it too. They have a history that prevents successful romance, and can only get close to each other through twisted games that preclude romance.

Yes, I think this will become the keystone fic for my shipping of the Koenma/Kurama pairing.
