The truth of living in Gotham as even the best writers of the comic could never quite capture.

I really enjoyed this. Brilliantly noir, and realistic characters. It was a little touch and go at the start with the bracket comments, but I couldn't stop reading. You nicely drew the world of Gotham from both perspectives. And very well done on capturing Batman's voice at the end.

Oh my god, this was so great! I really enjoyed reading it, I just wished Batmans Part was longer.

Oh my god the /atmosphere/ that you've created. I was laughing or giggling one second, and then *bam* almost crying. I love how you've incorporated so much of the Bat mythos into this chapter, and I think you've done a fantastic job describing how a city girl, especially a Gotham city girl, would maybe view her country cousin, and how an educated girl could be blind-sided by the real world. 3

So this is then part of that universe of 'Fall to Grace'? As in, there's a Batgirl? Would it then be silly to assume that Marlowe is Batgirl? Well, that's very, very interesting.

I enjoy this universe you've created. I hate to say it, but my memory fades on the evil characters of Gotham, and you're really helping out by writing this. The Penguin in particular is bothering me. I can't remember a damn thing. And I'm too lazy to actually look through comics and TV shows and find out more. So thank you for that.

Is this little bit finished then? It was very good, just as touching as 'Fall to Grace'. But at the same time, you can feel the difference between narrarators. It's clearly obvious when Bruce is talking, when it is Marlowe, when it is K Lee. That's very impressive, the fact that you can differentiate characters but have them all maintain a certain level of excellence in what they describe. You can feel K's youth and Bruce's grief, yet they are both at a professional level of story telling that you hold. I appreciate that. It's very cool.

Thank you again. Time to check out other Gotham Noir pieces until this fabulous and greatly awaited 'A Mortal Melody of Blood and Memory' is finished (I have tremendous faith in you). I actually dreamt of Marlowe and Bruce last night. Odd, since usually I don't remember my dreams at all. That must mean something.

By the way, this title which I shall shorten obscenely to AMMoBaM (haha, ammo bam!), is much more sinister than the last. Does that reflect in any way on the story? Curious.

Amazing...you are the only writer whom I've ever seen capture WHY Gotham is feared. It's almost a wonder that people still live there isn't it? I eagerly look forward to anymore Batman stories you think up. Until then, this will serve as inspiration.
