Great story, too bad it's abandoned, but I love what you do have here. Thought Ranma Stargate crossovers would be interesting, checked through the filters to find a grand total of eight, seven of which didn't pass my pre-reading criteria, I was a little leery about a story that hadn't been updated in seven years, but it sounded interesting enough I just had to try anyway. I have no regrets, only a hope this isn't truly abandoned, just on extended hiatus, I've certainly seen far longer ones. Good work.

I just finished reading this story, and I must say, I am glad I gave it a chance, I like the story line, and the premise, and I am hoping that it isn't dead...only on life support until full recovery takes place! I enjoyed how you set up the background, brought Ranma in the Stargate universe, and proceeded to shatter, and then start to rebuild Ranma, away from Nerima, and his dad, and now apparent step-mom...just wondering if your gonna have Nodoka show up at some point, and catch her hubby with his now preggy teenage wife? And how she would react? Anyways, again, here's hoping that your muse is still willing to let you work on this story, if not...and your about to pull the plug, I will not badger or brow beat you to continue the story if you've decided to let it die...

I discovered this story yesterday and finished reading it today. I really enjoyed it, I liked your premise and how the plot lines are developing. I hope you return to this story.

You have several technical errors in chapter 4.

First, a P-90 does have a safety, but it's located in a place that the only way you could reach for it and miss would also cause you to miss the trigger, since the safety is actually inside the trigger guard.

Second, no US military weapon has used clips since 1957. Modern weapons, from the M9 pistol to the M-16 to the P-90 use magazines. Only an amateur uses the word clip in place of magazine, and supposedly Jack is a professional soldier - he might shorten it to mag, but would never call it a clip.

Third, it's really odd that Jack would use a pistol over a zat, since the zat is just as accurate and effective, but doesn't run out of ammunition.

This story is absolutely wonderful. I do hope that you will continue it soon and that I will get to see more of Cassie and Ranma working the kinks out of their relationship, their powers, and their scarred psyche's.

"Ranko Saotome" you do know that cold water is way more common then hot witch makes this plausible as the tech has not come from area 51 that might give ranma some control of the cruse not only that but this ranma doesn't see it as a curse but accepts it as part of himself/herself at this point ranma has a male gender identity so it's more of the fact that ranma has no choice due to the US gov.

I got annoyed when male Ranma stopped showing up. I enjoy a good ranko story as much as the next peron: Genma's Daughter and it's sequels amongst others, but I really get annoyed if I end up reading Ranko stories without realizing it. "Shortly after fleeing the Amazon village, Ranma and his father...", I really expected a male Ranma from the 'his' or at least someone with a unique gender identity. There wasn't even a good reason for it. I'd enjoy it more if an OOC or Ranko warning existed. There's always an expectation that something was wrong, and she'd recover to a more male or gender balanced state. Or at least that's the expectation based on the Ranma 1/2 character, Ranma Saotome. For Ranma, the female form is something uncomfortable, like not being allowed to brush one's teeth, and the male form is like an ingrained habit. Ranko or AU would come with a slightly different set of expectations and motifs. False advertising. The thing about Ranko is that it's rarely done convincingly. He wasn't locked. You'd think Ranma'd want to avoid the female form after s/he killed two people in it and then nearly got raped. She spends most of his time on the base so he doesn't need to be female there. There wasn't a change in gender identity. He isn't as sexist or macho as fanon but Ranma does cling to his masculinity using his girl side more like a tool. Took a few minutes and it seems all your stories are Ranko stories. At least warn people in your profile.

Even though Ranma is still way OOC, I still like this story. I hope you continue it soon.
