I have no idea what ethnicity the actress who plays Teyla is, but she could definitely pass as a Hawaii resident at least. The actor who plays Ronon, on the other hand, is totally Samoan, despite being "big" in a different sense than what you would normally see in Samoa (he's tall and very well-built, rather than...hefty).

Teyla had better be prepared for some serious flirting coming from most of the Germans-Klink in particular. She could always start talking about her son...
