I've always loved the way that you write Kurt and Blaine. It's hard to find authors in this fandom that write them both in a way that does justice to their characters. Some lean more towards Blaine, others towards Kurt. Your works always capture their personalities perfectly, and they even hearken back to the early days of Klaine. I love that. I fell in love with Klaine in their early days (Season 2). Being able to read that again here, years later, is wonderful. You capture the lighthearted nature of their relationship beautifully (shopping in Forever 21, for instance), and it really brings alive the fact that they're both hopeless romantics (the windowsill scene at the end). They're adorable.

I loved how you split this chapter between the two perspectives, too, with Kurt frantically trying to stall Blaine and Lucy and the boys working on the last preparations for the surprise party. I've read this twice now and my favorite part is still when Kurt is trying desperately to come up with a way to stall Blaine when Blaine himself suggests that they stop by the mall to pick up a V-day card for Francey's newest boyfriend.

One of the most captivating things about your writing is its unwavering realism: every moment fits together like a puzzle piece, deliberate and effective. The whole picture is impressive to behold, and even within the span of a single chapter, you manage to capture that effect. Blaine's reason for wanting to stop by the mall, utterly separate from Kurt's panic about the party, was perfect. It made sense, and it was a good excuse to not have to be at the party yet. Best of all, Kurt didn't even need to worry about delaying him and keeping it realistic, and that's the remarkable thing about it.

I'm so glad that Blaine did find out who put together the party in the end. Kurt definitely deserves the credit for this one - after all, he did only have a day to prepare - and the fact that Blaine recognized that made me happy. I love how your stories have happy endings. It may seem a given, but it's not, and it's just one more thing that I love about your writing.

(And of course, Lucy whipping the boys into shape so that she can fix the cake and make sure that the party is ready was perfect.)

Just barely managed to read this. Finally! And also, yay! You finished it! I'm so proud.

This story was just so cute! Loved seeing the Warblers used so well (I hate what they did to the Warblers in the show. Such a shame). Wes, David and their girlfriends are hilarious. Love how the girls use the full names when they're scolding them. And Wes and David's comments about Kurt and Blaine are amusing. The whole mall scene was so cute! So easy to picture. And then Kurt falls asleep at the party - too funny. Guess all the worrying and planning he did wore him out. At least his plans didn't fall through.

Glad you finally finished this. It was a wonderful, fluffy adventure!
