Faerie of Tara chapter 1 . 9/7/2014 Amazing story! I really enjoyed it, though it was quite sad. Thank you so much for writing :) |
Berkwood Court chapter 1 . 6/24/2013 Blaine, it's okay, I promise! You'll find Kurt and everything will get better. Just... Don't be sad, everything will work out. Give it time, love. D: Fantastic, as always. :) |
IndiaMoore chapter 1 . 1/1/2013 Cute but very sad story :) |
trufflemores chapter 1 . 9/30/2012 This is my favorite Blaine piece of yours. It's so heart-wrenching. Because Blaine's still so young and he's still convinced that he can let the bully's taunts and pranks run off his back until they start affecting him. Directly. It's like he said: they crossed the line here. Instead of vandalizing his things or humiliating him in front of his peers, they've taken it to a new level, actually altering his appearance as a result. The opening scene broke my heart because Blaine is so distraught and Francey doesn't know any better. I'm glad that she was able to pick the lock, even though she didn't do it to help him initially, because the poor guy would probably have half-drowned himself trying to fix it while Francey would have left him for cheerleading practice. The way that she reacted made it immediately clear how bad the damage was. The title alone implies what is to come, but it's that moment when we know that Blaine has been hurt in a way that he hasn't before. It hasn't reached the level of physical pain yet, but in a way this is a prelude to that. The story itself broke my heart. It was different than the run-of-the-mill bullying tactics, and yet it makes sense, because gum is easily accessible and the reasoning ("he pukes rainbows, so he should have one") sounds exactly like gay-bashing. Poor bb. I'm so glad that Francey stood by him when Bev trimmed his hair. You could just feel his anguish at having to give up. He didn't want to and I'm sure he would have been willing to endure a dozen other treatments if he thought that there was even a possibility of them being effective, yet it's clear that there's nothing that can be done. At least his family is supportive of him and helps him through it. The scene in the bedroom just made it clear how small and vulnerable and sick of all the bullying he is. So often we see Blaine on the rebound that seeing him knocked down really hits home. Poor guy. At least Hal is able to cheer him up a little in the end, and he has the support of Francey and Bev to back him up. I love the way that you've written him here, and I love this story as a whole. It's really interesting and I haven't seen the theory before in the fandom, so I love it. Most people assume that he cut his hair because of bullying, and I love your interpretation of it. It's no surprise that he's so meticulous about taking care of his hair later on, gelling it within an inch of its life. After this point in his life, I doubt that he would care as much about the hair itself as he would about being the one in control of it. Love love loved it. If I had a favorite's list for my favorites, this would be on it. |
allieisrandom chapter 1 . 9/26/2012 OH MY POOR BABY BLAINE! Sorry but I felt too bad for him, you wrote so well. This is before Sadie Hawkins, I'm assuming? And also before you created your own versions of the Anderson parents? |
midlifecrisses chapter 1 . 5/22/2012 aaawww bb loses his hair! my god that was so hard to read! |
bitchboughtmycookie chapter 1 . 1/27/2012 I burst out crying at this, because it reminded me of personal experience. A kid at my high school did this to me. It was the worst moment of my life. I can sympathise with how Blaine feels in this. |
mskelseylove chapter 1 . 12/2/2011 This is one of your stories that I've come back and read and reread countless times, and it's hard for me to pinpoint exactly why. But I cry every time. I'm a sucker for Blaine centric angst, and this just breaks my heart. You write his frustration so very well, though. Also I love hawaiian pizza. |
kate chapter 1 . 11/30/2011 I love your Blaine angsty one shots |
iHeartPi chapter 1 . 8/24/2011 Oh my goodness, this was adorable. So many feelings right now. I also like Blaine's adorable parents in this, because they are often portrayed as being unsupportive. And just, ugh. I hate getting my hair cut, so this would be a nightmare. Poor Blaine. |
danielizabethx chapter 1 . 7/7/2011 MY POOR BLAINERS! Be right back - gonna go kick some bully ass! D: |

Carmen the First chapter 1 . 6/14/2011 I loved this 'chapter', I've re-read it a couple of times! I love how you show Blaine in this, it's a lot like how I would think of him when he's younger. I hope you really do make this into a multi-chapter story! |
JustYourAverageRavenclaw chapter 1 . 6/13/2011 Gah... poor little Blaine... I feel so bad for him! *cries* I can't wait for the next chapter of this! I love everything you write, seriously! Even if there's no Kurt in it (gasp)! :) |
