Really enjoyed this. I think this is the first fic that actually mentions Sheppard feeling any pull toward the Ancient Antarctic outpost because of his ATA gene. Great job!

Great little glimpse into Sheppard's time in Antarctica. I always like fics that fill in the backstory that show never gave us and this is another great one.

Great little story about the days just before Sheppard made his fateful decision. I love your wonderful description of the Antartica landscape-I can feel the kind of day it was, like a day after a snowstorm when the sky is picture perfect blue, the air is crisp and the snow glimmers in the sun-just perfect!

Poor Sheppard-I know he disobeyed orders but he didmt he save some of men who would've died otherwise? He's a hero!

I was away in the land of nod when you posted this hon...and looking at the time you posted, so should you have been! But, I'm glad if you couldn't sleep that you spent your time fruitfully writing this absolutely fantastic little backstory to Shepopard's meeting of O'Neill.

Hey, Stella! Another great story! I love all the description of the surroundings, the sky, and the helos. It makes it easier to picture the story, which is always great! I especially love that Ford was the one to find Shep. Great idea! And I love that the story ended the way it began, with a cornflower blue sky. Great word pictures! Keep up the good work!

Great story! Impressed with your knowledge and description of helicopters...made it feel more real. Not an expert myself, but it seemed pretty accurate from what I do know. Thanks for another great story.
