Fabulous. I liked the idea that John accompanied Sherlock on his hiatus. I thought you had them in character, although I'm not sure if John would have attempted suicide. Other than that, wonderful job!

Yep, this is exactly how it should happen for real. Lovely job, this story was perfect!

I read this and then went straight to the sequel, but I had to come back and say how cool this is. I like the idea of John going with him, even if it's mostly because whenever he comes back to the doctor in anything else I've ever read, John is completely inconsolable and angry and then eventually they make up. But, still, it's a fantastic notion, and it's one you've done very, very well.
